What do you like to read?

So now everyone is going to think I'm demented. "War Days" by Striber and Kunetka is a good one. About a fictitious nuclear attack and the aftermath. The main character goes across the country telling what he sees.

Maybe its a subconscious thing, like I want to be able to help people when it does happen. I dont know, psychoanalyze me someone.

Have you ever read The Stand by Stephen King?

Yes, MM, I have read "The Stand", twice good book.

Perettis, This Present Darkness is good. Also Tommy Tenneys, "The God Chasers" is an awesome book.

Hobi, I love The Stand as well. I've read it a few times and have the VCR tape.

Have you read Peretti's Monster? I really enjoyed it.

It's very good. It's one of those that you'd stay up all night just to finish. I never got into his earlier books and in fact really didn't like what I had read. My friend and I swap books with each other. One Sunday she came to church with a bagful of books...I of course was escatic One of the books was Monster. I said...eh, I'll give it a go. It was excellent. I'm thinking about going back and reading his earlier books.

Peretti's This Present Darkness was really good. Spiritual warfare and all. I will have to check out Monster. Thanks for recommending it!

Ya dont! Yeah!!!! Maybe I'm not so strange after all! Do you like them too? I loved "The Day After" movie.

I like dark books too. I just like to read period. There is one right now that is called Dance of Death. It's a bout a cop and his brother that is a criminal. Seems really good.

Yes, I am a reader too. Just about anything as long as it is interesting. I like medical thrillers too. Read most of Robin Cooks novels.

Do either of you like Patricia Cornwell? The Kay Scarpetta books.

I dont guess I've read her MM. Is she good? What kind of books does she write?

She has several in that series. The main character, Dr. Kay Scarpetta, is a forensic medical examiner. They are murder mysteries. I "think" I've read them all, there must be at least a dozen of them.

It sounds like something I would like. Have to check that one out too.
