That must be why every developed country has comparable numbers of gun violence. Oh wait, no they don't.

Are you able to continue your side of the discussion without sarcasm in every post?

Are you deliberately missing the point?
What is the point? You said that one of the reasons it may be an issue is because some states with lose gun laws are beside those with tight gun laws and I was saying that the state may or may not be the issue just because a STATE has fairly lose gun laws does not mean a particular city will.

Great. So if a CITY has strict gun laws, but the STATE it's in has lose gun laws, is it possible people might... go...out...of the city to do their gun shopping, do you think?

Yes, but then if they get caught in some of those cities with a gun they are breaking the law, and yet the gun does nothing by itself. Having a gun in and of itself means NOTHING.

Good! You understand that if a local government restricts something that is in demand, consumers will go elsewhere to get it. That's what a free market is.

It's much harder to do than obtain a gun. Let alone to deploy.
but if someone was deadset on causing much damage either of those options would be more effective than MOST guns.

Only if they can obtain and deploy those options. Getting a gun is far simpler and more accessible.

You're now forgetting your own points.

I think I'm done.

If it was made too difficult, then the person would just be more motivated to use something else, such as explosives, a car or truck, an airplane via boxcutter, etc. That's partly why those tactics have been used in places where guns aren't readily available, and plenty of people have been killed. Being killed by something other than a gun doesn't make it any less tragic.

Crime is less in areas of the USA where EVERYONE is known to be carrying a firearm. Why do you suppose that is?
or at least where everyone has the right to carry a firearm, even if for various reasons some do not.
