.... which is really weird because I most assuredly DO NOT believe in Charismatic gifts, which is presumably one of the most important doctrines of the Charistmatic movement.

Otherwise, I'd say this sums me up pretty perfectly.

I put Not Sure for half of mine anyway so I'm not sure how accurate my results are. I'm too young to have an opinion about a lot of that stuff ^_^

That's weird. Are you sure you answered the questions correctly?

Yes, positive. As a matter of fact, on the question "Do you think tongues/prophecy ceased with the New Testament," I answered "Yes," which should have knocked at least 20 percentage points off the Assemblies of God right there on the spot!

OF that list...none of the above perhaps?
We had a similar thread going in another area of CF so I had useda different quiz
The Quiz is located here
http://www.selectsmart.com/FREE/sele...christiandenom

Answer the questions and it will give you a list of which denomination you might be most suited for. Again it is for fun only.
NO Complaining or whining

MY RESULTS

Your Results The list below is modified by your input. Note: The selector author alone determined the questions and scoring of these results.
#1 Liberal Quakerism
#2 Unitarian Universalism
#3 Unity Church
#4 Episcopal/Anglican Church
#5 Evangelical Lutheran Church
#6 Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
#7 Methodist/Wesleyan Church
#8 Seventh-Day Adventist
#9 Eastern Orthodox Church
#10 Mennonite Brethren
#11 Mormonism
#12 Orthodox Quakerism
#13 Roman Catholic Church
#14 Southern Baptist
#15 Assemblies of God
#16 Presbyterian Church USA
#17 Church of Christ
#18 Free Will Baptist
#19 Presbyterian Church in America/Orthodox Presbyterian Church
#20 Reformed Baptist
#21 Reformed Churches
#22 United Pentecostal Church
#23 International Church of Christ
#24 Jehovah's Witness

I am going to be more involved in #3 this year as I have been in the past, I frequent #4 especially around holidays, and 5-6 were WAYYYYYYY too conservative for me. I had some bad experiences in the past with #7
but I have gotten involved in another state with it casually and it is not as bad

I have never been to #1 on the list, don't even know how to go about finding one. Have been a few times to #2, it was ok. #3 was the best I ever attended, along with #4 which would be my two faves.....

Shalom my brothers and sisters in the Name of Yeshua the Messiah... this was a very interesting determination but I suspected greatly that the Messianic beliefs were very close to the Amish and the Charismatic. This may be revelation to many of you. I have often told others when ask "what religion are you?"... that we are very close to the Amish; no TV, modest apparel, holiness and godly living, Salvation by grace through faith and not of works yet works SHOW your faith (love is a work and worketh by faith also) honoring the sanctity of our postions as women and wives with respecting our husbands, the PREEMINANCE and SUPREME authority of the Word of God-without culture, tradition or church documents...yet we keep the Sabbath, out of obedience, not fear of losing salvation if we worship on Sunday, which we also do...but we do as Jesus did...worship in the Messianic Synagogue and follow some traditions of the Jews (that do not go against Christ, the early synagogue did not renounce Christ obviously...only the "temple" today requires renouncement of Christ Jesus as Messiah in order to be a "jew"---this is blatantly and scripturally SO wrong---yet I believe that the "church" has not replaced Israel's place in prophecy)...We are really a mixed breed and trust Christ Jesus in the fullness of the Spirit and Word of God that He has given to us.

The one question that asked WHEN did the church start; I answered the NT but I believe that it started as a body of JEWS in the OT times(disciples of Jesus who were Jews WERE the first church and continue to be the remnant today.Even Abraham was one who kept covenant with YHVH (Jehovah) and "his faith was counted to him as righteousness"... Christianity is all about covenant not works...our works cannot save us; only the blood of Christ Jesus and His work of redemption can be received by us BY FAITH...

Thank you for sharing this "test"....I believe though though that it is biased toward pretrib/conservative doctrine more so than the word of God. I will see if I can find a "messianic test" and you can see how close you believe as those of us who embrace the Jewish and "christian" teachings in light and balance of the Word of God.

I have also worshipped in the Episcopal, Baptist, Congregational and Presbyterian churches. May the Lord Jesus Christ be glorified in His church...Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life...NO man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)

Blessings in Messiah Yeshua...Christ Jesus, Our Lord and Savior...
Shoshanarose
