Promise made: Gen. 3.15
Promise restated: Gen. 12
Covenant of Works restated at Sinai to rule the nation with a gracious reminder to the elect
Promise restated: Jer. 31
Promised fulfilled in the life and death of Christ: Matt. 26 / Heb. 9:16
The Jew defined as spiritual: Rom. 2
The seed of Abraham is Christ, not a physical seed: Gal. 3

*Romans 11 deals with gentiles being grafted into spiritual Israel and spiritual Israel is defined by belief in Christ, not physical birth, faith.

I have Denault to read at some point in the future, (it's at #6 on my reading list) though from a quick look at the diagrams on 1689federalism.com without going further into what 1689F is Nichols is closer to that position than I originally thought and I would say that the difference is focused on how the covenants interact with each other. I'm still figuring out what expression of covenant theology is Biblical but I'll note that one of the places that I disagree with Nichols is one of the places that I disagree with 2LBCF (I believe 22.7 is in opposition to Hb 3-4) 1689F may not be really any closer to how I see the covenants though I could be swayed.
