The Man who Loved Books Too Much. By Allison Hoover Bartlett. (It is about a man who loves rare books but rather than buy them he acquires them in different ways...yes theft, fraud, check fraud, credit card theft and falsified purchases, and the man who at the time held the ABAA's Security Chair Position and went about tracking him down)...

as a local Biblophile (at least as far as others who don't read or don't read often see me)... there is a bit of irony in pulling out such a work on my breaks at work or when others are around...

Currently, we're reading Katharine DeBrecht and Jim Hummel's "Help Mom! Hollywood's in My Hamper". We have the whole "Help Mom!" Triolgy ("Help! Mom! Hollywood's in My Hamper", "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed!", and "Help! Mom! The Ninth Circuit Nabbed the Nativity!")

They also like Ted Bell's "Nick of Time".

Searching for God Knows What by Don Miller. I read Blue Like Jazz and had to have more, so I read Through Painted Deserts and now Searching... I may go on and read all his books--I think he has two others. Incidentally, Through Painted Deserts was originally called Prayer and the Art of Volkswagen Maintenance!
