Maybe Catholics read the Bible as a coherent whole and don't create a theology and then search out individual verses in Paul to support it.

Maybe Catholics tend to follow and become spoiled by the tradition of men...

Not at all. But I would think that if Peter was given the keys, so to speak, that once he died that would be it.
What about once Paul died?

2 peter 1:14 Having known that speedily/tacinh <5031> is the putting off of the booth/tent/skhnw-matoV <4638> of me, according as also the Lord of us, Jesus Christ, makes evident to me.

2 Timothy 4:6 For I am already being poured out, and the time of the my up-loosing/ana-lusewV <359> is come.
7 The ideal contest I have contested, the run/race I have finished, the faith I have kept:

The system he established had a head on earth. If his system continued then it continued with a head on earth.

What sacraments did Peter originate?

Originate? None.

St. Peter used the sacraments given to him, James and John by Christ.

St. Paul administered sacraments as well.

Forgive me...

Take Baptism for example... how many Apostles performed baptisms (all of them) that you could even show from scripture.

That is one sacrament. One key, so to speak.

Forgive me...

Then there is the very curious statement by Paul in I Corinthians 1:17 "For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, that the cross of Christ should not be made void."

It is evident that he held baptism to be considerably less significant than preaching the gospel. Thus, it appears that if there is any key, it would be preaching the gospel and not baptism.

For St. Paul yes... HIS job was to preach.

Less significant... I don't think so. Just that wasn't for him to do.

Forgive me...

You are forgiven in Christ Jesus. :)

Matthew 20:22
But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be
baptized with the baptism that ***I AM*** baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

What baptism did I AM baptize with?

Matthew 3

16And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw
the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

I AM baptized I AM with the spirit of I AM.

Matthew 3
11I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Jesus surely preached of being baptized with the Holy Ghost -- the baptism I AM baptized with.

Were you not also baptised in water?

Forgive me...

Surely I was born again of water and Spirit!

Revelation 1:15
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

John 4:14
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 5:25
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

HIS VOICE AS THE SOUND OF MANY WATERS,
SPRINGING UP INTO EVERLASTING LIFE:
HEAR HIS VOICE AND BE BORN INTO LIFE!
