Was Ellen White a true or false prophet?

I have read many of Ellen White's writings. As you know, I believe she contradicted Scripture, and herself, at various points. However, I would not say that there is nothing of value in her books. And I am glad that you came to know the Lord who has made a difference in your life.

I will say this, we often will contradict the Bible if we allow our sinful nature to dominate us by not staying in close contact with God on a daily basis, and I have made the same mistake myself and if God hadn't been very merciful to me I would now be standing where you are. I know former SDAs that this has happened to who were good friends of mine at one time. One guy I introduced to Jesus, and when he stopped daily communicating with God he fell so far as to offer his wife to me on a silver platter.

The church rejected righteousness by faith in 1888 and all that was left to it was legalism. That legalism drove untold numbers of people out of the church. Ellen White told us Jesus could have come long before this, twice. There are now stirrings of the revival of righteousness by faith in the church again as God is waking His people up as we are very close to the end of time. Righteousness by faith is taught all throughout her writings. and throughout scripture but especially in Desire of Ages. Christ's Object Lessons, Thoughts from the Mount of Blessings. and compilations such as Faith and Works.

You mignt want to go back and prayerfully read those books as you may very well see her writings through a new perspective. I will add you to my prayer list too.

So? The overall impact of of what you said strongly implies your desire to keep rejecting her as a false prophet. You don't have to say the exact words to make your meaning clear.

She said some good things, some not so good things. The same is true of two other prominent 19th century prophets, Joseph Smith and Charles Russell.
