Used to be it was not that tough to find a game that I was passionate enough about to play it through the end, but something changed these last several months. I'd hate to think I'm finally losing interest, or maybe the right game just hasn't come along?

I'm scared.

Well the faces yes but back then they didn't really have the capacity to shade and make them look gruff and with manly details taking up space... now there is no excuse.... so beats me why they remain that way other than the fact that again, the Japanese lean towards the effeminate.

I didnt mind Squall or clouds outfits (except when Cloud had to crossdress) but Titus is wearing full on belly shirt.... As for their effeminate faces... its just something I expect from something coming from Japan... as long as they dont dress them like girls..... Im fine. I mean coming from a time of being young with the graphics of 8 where the characters were plastic looking graphics.... it no longer phases me that they are smooth barbie dolls.

Cause the Japanese tend to lean more towards effeminate men in their toons and games..... so the men are all feminine looking.

Don't worry, you're not the only one. There are some games that took me at least 10 years to beat, and there are still a few I have yet to beat after all this time.

Glad I'm not the only one! lol! It was easier when I was younger... had all the time. XD

I feel kind of like you. As a kid there always seemed to be a game I wanted to play, and usually I could play for several months before I got tired of each one. But now I often feel like I'm not in the mood for any of the many games we have, and I get tired of most of them pretty quickly because there's just not much to do in them anymore.

I hope you find some games you want to play soon!

I think it's this, seriously. I can't find games I really like anymore. For me, Final Fantasy XII - XIII were horrible. XII was too much like XI (online) and XIII was all for "killing the Creator". -.- like, really? FFXV seems to be better and I'm actually enjoying that game.

I think it might have something to do with ease of making characters. If they have roughly the same "outline" then it's easier to slap other details on them. Then again... I'm not a developer. What do I know?

Yeah, they are coming out with a "multiplayer" soon. That might be interesting considering they launched it as a single player game.

I like the game. Reminds me of Harvest Moon. I like the story events they have too. Certainly a unique game to play I hope you enjoy it.

Nope, and I was totally intimidated when that came out. Even if I had the console, I did not wanna try that one lol!

Well, I was more just kidding around when I referred to how they all look like sissies. That part about the 7 through 10 protagonists doesn't bother me. At least not in comparison to the fact they were all incredibly boring and/or annoying.

Well, that's not entirely true. I guess I do care about their appearances, but it just wasn't the feminine aspect that annoyed me. I just can't even stand looking at Zidane's or Tidus' smug faces. What was Square thinking when they designed these two in particular?

Could be we're spoiled. Or maybe things just become repetitive, or we just haven't found what we are looking for, but since that seems to get tougher and tougher...makes me think there is more to it.

I believe the last play through for me was Far Cry 4? I mean what's not to like about shooting man eating fish saddled aback an elephant? I'd like to give Far Cry Primal a try, as well as the latest Tomb Raider try, and if that doesn't do it, something is seriously amiss.

But, hey, there are worse things than *not* playing video games, even if I can't think of one at the moment.

Sorry, I need to stop before I get to ranting again. We'llllllll just leave the instances of minor sexual assault and blatant narcissism on Zidane's behalf that no one seems to notice for his merely refreshing change of attitude from Cloud and Squall's emo natures, for another day's discussion. (Not any kind of accusation against you, mind you, Swan. Just speaking to the general Final Fantasy fan public. It's just like, to most fans, Zidane is fun and outgoing and therefore it's refreshing to see this after two consecutive games in which the heroes were straight emo and too cool for school, so no one notices the blatant jerk-headed, attention-seeking white-knighting on his behalf all throughout FFIX. Oh, I, Sarah's Knight, am no white knight according to the Internet's negative definition of the term; it is Zidane Tribal, and I hate him for giving guys like me a bad rap. ... And I hate his face. ... And his clothes. It's amazing how beloved Final Fantasy 9 is too me in spite of him. I guess because, if any credit is due, he is in fact not an emo except for that one time late in disc 3 when he so obviously pretended to be emo in order to gain more sympathy and attention from his friends , and it was a breath of fresh air after FF7 and FF8.)

Some think it a bit strange I'm into it at my age, but I think it's just a matter of circumstance/having the time to kill, plus a general fascination with how things work.

When I was a kid, it was Cowboys and Indians or boards games, so maybe I'm a bit out dated, but no way I'm going to let the young have all the fun...

The invention of the PC was definitely a game changer, in every sense of the term.

Not strange at all, in my opinion. At any age it's good to have something you enjoy doing to pass the time. Never too old for video games.

No I warned you about my competitiveness when you introduced me to pokemon and I screamed "Im gonna beat you half to death with your own dog!!" when I was playing with some random person online.... cause they snatched the thrill of victory from my hand at the last moment.

FF I was trying to the best tank that ever existed and never let anyone get hit at all......

And yes.... we got married and now I have a big white chokiboooo..... *sings the song with my own lyrics as you have heard many... many times before*
