yeah i'm still trying to cope with the old version of baulders gate not working on windows 10. =(

I kind of don't want to buy the new enhanced edition because I heard that company tried to inject SJW ideology into Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear and in doing so ruined the story, because there is no transgender problem in a world full of magic. -_- how dare they taint my precious forgotten realms. ~mouth full of foam~

Oh man, that sucks.

Horrible how PC many things are becoming. Than again makes me thankful most of the media I consume is done by the public and people who don't feel bound to play the SJW virtue fest.

good game stories are mythological in nature. they have deep truths of humanity in them. though I only see it foggily, I know that ff8 is a good representation of a good mythological story.

I think some of the mythological wisdom that is relevant in ff8 for our modern time is that things such as feminism have been somewhat hijacked. or that the compassion elements in liberalism are being hijacked by authoritarian/dominating elements.

just trying to sort my thoughts about ff8...
the main villain in ff8 at the first appeared to be the witch of that present time who was in fact the orphanage motherly figure for the heros of the story. the real villain was an uber witch from the ?future? and since she was a main archtype of some form of evil, perhaps the corrupted feminine in general, it makes sense that she possessed or tried to possess the other witches in the game. I don't know if I have enough wisdom to fully understand the spiritual depths of ff8.


I wonder about why the main protagonist had a guardian force (griever) that seemed to be representative of squall. also I think it fascinating that quistis final limit break was shockwave pulsar which is an attack that griever did. quistis also seems to be the same kind of symbol as the orphanage witch but a non-corrupt aspect. I say that because she was a teacher figure and friend and was part of the party of heros.

not to mention squall and rinoa were a thing and she is a witch. yeah there are definitely deep elements in why ff8 was a good story that is actually relevant to humanity.

oh and guardian forces causing amnesia is certainly part of the key to understanding something quite relevant. I can't fully flesh it out but guardian forces seem to be representative of helpful spirits like guardian angels. or in the bible you know how elisha had a double portion of the spirit of elijah on him. but the amnesia might mean that depending too much on them in some way blots the very person assisted by them out... in some sense. I must stop least i start trying to understand what a double portion of someones spirit even means. oh, probably like, the further development of such a kind of spirit. wow, I guess that is the opposite of the amnesia effect.

one of my favorite things about ff8 is of course the main female protagonist. I guess I have a liking for evil female villains, probably one reason why I also love fft so much. also... in ff7 jenovah is the feminine representation. hmm ff7 and ff8 kind of seem similar in their mythological expression. I wish I was a genius so I could fully explain all that it means.
