CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I told her we did not have time to plan a camporee. I told her the girls were not mature enough to help with the camporee. I told her I did not want to do the camporee. But NOOOOOO that wasn't good enough. She couldn't let it go. She had to have a camporee. She had to drag our troop down into it. Now 2 girls have quit over it cause the don't want to plan anymore of it, my daughter is sick of it, I'm sick of it, and she is gripping at me because we have all this camporee planing. Well *duh* she was the one who wanted to do it.

My ex dropped the kids off this morning and my youngest's shoes (which she was supposed to replace - she came up with the "it's your turn" philosophy, by her rules, it was her turn), are so bad that his entire foot was coming out of the shoe. So at 7:15 this morning, I'm driving my kids to Walmart to get him new shoes. Also, my wife was sick, so I had to drop my kids off with my mom (who works at their school, so she was taking them there this morning), then drive home to get the other kids to take them to their school. Lo and behold, the high schooler is sitting there in the chair, having missed her bus (which she seems to do every time her mom is sick, despite me reminding her of the time 10 minutes before she had to be at the bus stop and hearing "I know"). Because of all of this, I was 15 minutes late to work this morning.

Some people are so convinced they are doing God's work......like the man standing on the street corner last night, outside of a concert---yelling at everyone saying they are "idolaters"......"going to burn in hell"....."thinking they are Christian....but, they aren't---or they wouldn't be spending their $$ on worldly things"...."they need to repent or they're going to burn in hell". Way to show God's love. When confronted.......he said the ones that were telling him he was a turn off aren't 'real Christians'......they are phony Christians that are going to burn in hell."
And people wonder why some aren't interested in hearing more about Christ....??
