CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's an incredibly beautiful state, and has some of the nicest little towns. Some no more than a stop on the side of the road.

I am Jacob, from Utah... I am a former mormon... well "former", I am still forced to attend the church by my parents (I am only 15). I am interested in learning more aobut Christianity, and becoming closer to Christ. Can any of you people help me?

I live in Utah. Its pretty rough to be a non-mormon, but I am able to get through it, because of the enormous friendships I have made at my church. My Youth Group is small, and made up of mostly young adults, but we make it fun. Utah is a fun place to live, geographically, but a little harder religiously. But I think it has made me more faithful, then I would have been, you know?

I'm moving to UT in the summer of 2006 when I graduate from college in California! Right now I spend the summers there living with a family in Riverton and working at a church in Draper. I love the state so so much and am counting the days till I get to move there permanently.
