There is something about the release of sound, and what it does in the heavens. It's kinda like igniting the victory cry over the enemy and just paralyzes him. he don't know which way to go! We held a very prophetic and powerful event just recently with not only shofars, but drums too. It was on top of a mountain, and it was more than words can describe. Hundreds of these drums, and shofars were blown at specific times as the Holy Spirit directed.Several states and some other nations from around the world were represented there also. I have never witnessed anything like it before. Five eagles had made their way over to where we were, and flew in a circle above the platform and opening area where this event was held. Folks, eagles as far as we're aware of, do not fly in bunches. And why five? Just thought I would share what God did. Blow that shofar Flaglady!

Wow! Powerful testimony, allin1. Must have been an awesome experience. Gave me goosebumps to read it! What I wouldn't give to take part in a demo like that!

And goy, yes indeed, as yahwannaknowjesus demonstrated. But thank you for the pictures.
I was going to get Yemmenite (kudu) shofar but decided on the traditional one instead as it was easier to carry around in my handbag!!!

Flaglady, I had the same experience when I read allin1's testimony. Can you imgaine the sounds of victory that not only went out in the physical but also in the spiritual on that day. Sort of like when a mother bear roared to let everyone know that she wasn't going to have anyone messing with her children or her stuff.

The shofar being used during worship is the ulitmate praise (besides us give him praise of course) I've only heard it done a few times, but when I did it was spectular.

Ive seen the flags done in church before. I love the way its done. Ive seen little girls (about 6-9ish) doing it along with an adult. I thought it was beautiful and full of praise. Keep at it and may God Bless all of your actions and his spirit spill from you when you are praising him in this awesome fashion.

God Bless

I have flag questions- what do the colors mean? The ladies at our church use white and silver. Also my kids would like to do it and the lady that does it the most said that they could that the flags were for everyone- can they or do they need training?
Thanks

The colours all have implications rather than meanings - that is, they symbolise certain things. check out http://www.flagsforworship.co.uk/page7.html and see the list.

As for training - well, I never had any! All I had was enthusiasm and a heart open to the Holy Spirit. Sometimes the children do need a little guidance, that flags aren't toys, for instance. Discipline and routines come with practice so you have to start somewhere. Also see http://www.flagsforworship.co.uk/page6.html for 'tips and hints'.

I love seeing our children using the flags, there's something very special and annointed about them when they do. They do it in innocence, you see, and unlike the adults, don't play to the audience which God loves.

God bless your kids and you for encouraging them (and your resident flaglady!!! - give her my love!)

:D Thank you great links and for the encouragement. Our "flaglady" or Miss Lois uses smaller ones than those pictured and usually one at a time. Another lady did two silver at a time this week. Miss Lois always stands in the front off to the side....I hadn't thought about the logistics of it- she must stand there to not block the veiw of the overhead screen and the worship team...
My kids are 14 & 5.
Thank you.

Funny - that's exactly where I stand! There's also a neat bit of space there .... I need space as the flags do some wild, crazy things when I have them in hand!!

I'm hoping soon to get some video of myself and put it on the website - or maybe even an interactive cd-rom as a tutorial ...

Well - one can dream, can't one!?

That sounds interesting! I'll have to do a search for it. Thanks for letting me know.

5 mins later ... found it already!

THEY RUSH ON THE CITY, THEY RUN ON THE WALL
GREAT IS THE ARMY THAT CARRIES OUT HIS WORD 2X

THE LORD UTTERS HIS VOICE BE-FORE HIS ARMY
THE LORD UTTERS HIS VOICE BE-FORE HIS ARMY

CHORUS:
BLOW A SHOFAR IN ZION, ZION
SOUND THE ALARM ON MY HOLY MOUN—TAIN
BLOW THE SHOFAR IN ZION, ZION, SOUND THE A-LARM repeat chorus

Anyone know where I can find a recording or some music!

The more common name is "Blow the Trumpet in Zion". If you search for it that way you should pull it up pretty quickly-- it was very popular about 20 years ago in the U.S.
