THE ATONEMENT CLOCK

In 1859 a Jewish scholar, Benedict Zuckermann published a table of sabbatical years in ancient times. He based his conclusions on a variety of sources such as the book of Maccabees and Josephus. In one example he cites an exemption Alexander the Great granted Jews concerning payment of tax every seventh year. Apparently it occurred once at the time Alexander conquered Gaza. With examples like this Zuckermann charted the seven year cycle. (Shmita)
Like Zuckermanns earlier work, The Atonement Clock deals with the Sabbatic/Jubilee countdown. But new information (archaeology and astronomy) reveals a stunning convergence of data to Messiah, Jesus of Nazereth. The Jubilee (Yovel) was not lost as previously supposed. Christian Gedge doesnt pretend to be Jewish but Im sure that Messianic believers and Christians alike would get a lot from reading this book.
Gideon
and Galatians - a book sorely need by MJism and whose time has come!Written by a Messianic Jew who received barmitzvah-training in an Orthodox synagogue, Jewish Roots is a totally unique exploration of the Hebraic foundations of the Christian faith. This volume provides the reader with concepts and terminology that will fully illuminate the instructions of Yeshua (Jesus) and the Sheliachim (Apostles). Now the precious drashot (teachings) of Messiah can be understood by modern Christians as they were meant to be understood by Jewish believers two thousand years ago. Large Print Edition.
Introductory Textbook for the class: Introduction to Jewish Foundatons of Christianity
And Biblical Messianic science fictionFor many years now, a Messianic perspective on the epistle to the Galatians has been greatly needed in the Body of Messiah. Now, Isaac Israel, a Messianic Jew who received barmitzvah-training in an Orthodox synagogue, presents a unique and compelling commentary on the book of Galatians from a Messianic Jewish perspective! A long awaited and much needed addition to both Messianic and Christian hermeneutics.
the 4th volume - Thy Kingdom ComeThe first three Chronicles in the Late-Earth Chronicles series: THE STORM, VALLEY OF THE SHADOW and MACHINES OF LOVING GRACE, now newly revised and together in one volume! Three retro science fiction, end-time page-turners with powerful Messianic themes.
and the still being written/yet to come final volume 5, Warriors of Eden.Volume Four of the Late-Earth Chronicles: Paul Jason Moscowitz, the last apostle to the solar system, is a hunted man during the reign of the Anti-Messiah. Enemies are everywhere, but there are also some unexpected allies, particularly a supercomputer named "Jeeves", a machine with abilities unsuspected even by its inventor.
and a collection of short novellas, Time, Times, and Half a TimePliskin the Jew journeys through the perilous Kingdom of Christian Doctrine, guided (and sometimes misguided) by the King James Version of the Bible. A Messianic parody of Paul Bunyan's classic allegory, Pliskin's Progress leads the "Gentle Reader" through the Land of Laughter to the Isle of Enlightenment. (Two other Messianic articles are also included in this special edition: a scathing review of Edward Chumney's Restoring the Two Houses of Israel, including an expose on the "Two House" movement -- the true synagogue of Satan: "them which say they are Jews, and are not" (Rev. 2:9)--plus an entertaining discussion of the spiritual powers behind the political turmoil of the 1960s.) Makes an ideal gift for your Messianic friends!
A startling anthology of novellas, novelettes, and short-stories by the innovator of Messianic end-time science fiction - Isaac Israel!
One resource that seemed to be highly relevant to MJism and the differing varieties of it is entitled How Jewish Is Christianity?: 2 Views on the Messianic Movement (Counterpoints: Bible and Theology). It's a work that gives diverse perspectives about the messianic movement— from six contributors ..with central themes being questions like "Are Messianic congregations necessary or should Jewish believers be incorporated into the Gentile church?"...or discovering how Christian Jews relate their Jewish practices and customs to the church has been an issue within Christianity since the first century. All of the contributers are people who have lived and wrestled with this issue, graciously choosing to present informed arguments and counter-arguments.Originally Posted by Heber
I commend reading these books, journals and web-sites. I do so only because they give a good, wide-ranging overview of the Messianic Movement and its detractors. The two lists are equal in stature - it is just not possible for me to put the whole lot into alphabetical order! I do not necessarily agree with everything that is written!

The sum total of the two lists should give a broad insight to the many and varied printed materials that relate to the Messianic Movement. Do not forget to look at the references and/or bibliographies of these books to find even more interesting books, journals, articles etc that you can look up for your own use.
Has anyone ever read 'Walking in the Dust of Rabbi Jesus: How the Jewish Words of Jesus Can Change Your Life' by Lois Tverberg?
