2000 years of 'Tradition" CAN be wrong..just cause it is repeated over thousands of years doesn't make SOME things right. No matter how hard you try.

In the same way, not liking what the church says, and going and making a new one doesnt make the new one any more right than the old one. This post is not for bashing Catholics, its about Mariology. The Original Poster believed that we Worship mary (In some capascity) and we dont. We have answered this, and since then some have used this thread to bash the Catholics. I am going to request a mod clean it up.2000 years of 'Tradition" CAN be wrong..just cause it is repeated over thousands of years doesn't make SOME things right. No matter how hard you try.

While i should be appauled......I actually applaud you! *God forgive me*So, the Bible can be wrong? Or is that the only part of tradition that the church got right? The only part of tradition the Holy Spirit actually showed up for before he took a 1500 year hiatus?
Seriously, if I can disregard the church on pretty much everything else, why not on the Bible as well? And don't say "'Cause the Bible is God's Word!" That's what the church said, and we know how that isn't supposed to be taken seriously.
No that is what Jesus said. So, the Bible can be wrong? Or is that the only part of tradition that the church got right? The only part of tradition the Holy Spirit actually showed up for before he took a 1500 year hiatus?

I see where Peter says that Pauls writings are scripture.Really? I see nowhere in the Gospel where Jesus says that Revelation, the Gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke, Peter, the Epistles of Paul, Peter, etc. are God's Word.
NO but Peter was an Apostle chosen by Jesus as Paul was. Filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit to do what they were doing. So therefore we see in Pauls writing and Peters that they were called for this very reason. Now tradition on down the line was not called by Jesus only the Apostles were. We see Jesus telling them to wait for the Power of the Holy Spirit so they may be witnesses to Him. We also see when Jesus was risen He went unto His own and opened their eyes to understand the scripture. we see Jesus quoting scripture over and over as it is Written. So if God has not changed as He says He does not we can stand to reason the the NT scripture are as important to God as the OT scripture. For God is not man that He should change.Peter wasn't Jesus though. In fact, Peter was just a church leader, just like the people who held all those councils.
The RCC does not think much of the doctrines of the Baptists either. I say Split The Difference. Worship Jesus without Mary on even sundays and worship Jesu with Mary on odd sundays. And worship Menachem Begin on alternate tuesdays. I find this to be the ultimate blasphemy, having all this Mary Spirit interaction at Communion, Mary was not even at the Last Supper and Communion is specifically for remembering the Body and Blood of Jesus and His Crucifixion!
.............'the more you let Mary act in your Communion the more Jesus will be glorified. The more you humble yourself and listen to Jesus and Mary in peace and silence - with no desire to see, taste or feel - then the more freedom you will give to Mary to act in Jesus' name and the more Jesus will act in Mary'

I had to have a cry when i read this one. Very sad.![]()
As I recall werent the protestants guilty of the same? Need I remind you all of the Salem witch trials?
Sorry, as soon as I saw the word "rapture" the entire credibility of the source of the quote went down the drain...not that it had any to begin with..
It plainly states that Jesus did many things not recorded in ('consistent with' in YOUR definition) Scripture. So, are these things that Jesus did and said outside of Scripture myth and fable ? By your definition they are.
Sure, but do you think that is talking about the miracles He did, or do you think He was showing people how to do Total Consecrations to mother?
Altho I am Catholic, I have never read this, saw this before or been told by anyone, priest or member of the RC, any of this or that I should do what I just read. Maybe some other poster might answer this. Frankly, I haven't a clue.
Communion for me is union with my Lord.
Wishing you all a good day.
-Peace-
That has got nothing to do with the OP.
Mary is the ultimate model for the attitude of humility that all Christians should have in receiving Jesus.
