  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Custom Built Baby! Originally an eMachines, the only eMachines part left in it is the floppy drive. Asus A7N266-VM Motherboard nForce, 768MB RAM, Asus ATi Radeon 9600 XT 128MB, 120GB Seagate 7200 HD, 40GB Maxtor, and uh...the other parts don't really matter I guess. I must say, the Seagate is a very nice drive. Very quiet and I've heard nothing but good about it from everyone else. This machine is currently running Windows and Linux, dual-boot, but I mainly just use Linux now...haven't booted into Windows in days now.

My mom has the re-built emachines, gave it to her on her birthday awhile ago. Nasty machine, Celeron for the processor, 20GB HD, and nasty MoBo, plus it gets really hot. It works though, and does it's job. I also got a really old laptop with Linux on it.

Oh, and I have a 486, 133MHz(maybe 233) computer. It was a good computer. I once tried to use it as a printer server! Would worked if I could fit a proper linux distro on the small harddrive.

I must say, I am well blessed by God with my computers. I've never had hardware troubles from the parts I've ordered. I've also never lost my data/programming projects...well I almost recently lost it, but I found a way to get it back ;) All thanks to God's wonderous grace and protection.

Very simple stuff in our house. The main PC's only an Athlon 1600, 256 MB RAM, 40 GB hard drive, CD burner, way behind the times now, but I'm not a gaming fan and Mum wouldn't let me take the cover off the tower. I've also got a Dell laptop that has all my uni stuff on it.

I tell ya - although i now have the very latest from AMD and XP and all that, i once used to have pentium 200mhx computer with just 32mb of RAM. It worked beautifully until of course the mouse port decided to give up on life altogether.
