I wish I had the same perspective, but I find your & my definition of "the Church" at odds.
I hadn't heard that you are a farmer or a rural employee; what kind of plowing equipment do you use? This plow boy thinks he did a good thing.
Yes, I did know that you were alluding to the adage - but I am not sure that it is something that William Tyndale ever said. I believe that the saying was coined by Foxe in his book of martyrs and attributed to Tyndale, but maybe Foxe was accurate and perhaps Tyndale did say it ... who knows?KJV.I hadn't heard that you are a farmer or a rural employee; what kind of plowing equipment do you use?
lol, I was referencing a 'famous' Tyndale quote, but you knew that, right?
I think it is time to award Tyndale the Medal of Valor, posthumouslyJoan had a vision & got involved in factioned regional politics within the established authority structure.
"Twenty-five years after her execution, an inquisitorial court authorized by Pope Callixtus III examined the trial, pronounced her innocent, and declared her a martyr." -Wiki
Tyndale's confrontation with the infallible Roman hierarchy was more timeless & global, if not cosmic.
I think it is time to award Tyndale the Medal of Valor, posthumously
1Sa 16:18
Then one of the young men said, Behold! I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a mighty man of valor, a warrior, one prudent in speech, and a handsome man; and the LORD is with him.
.
A clergyman hopelessly entrenched in Roman Catholic dogma once taunted Tyndale with the statement, We are better to be without Gods laws than the Popes.
Tyndale was infuriated by such Roman Catholic heresies, and he replied, I defy the Pope and all his laws.
If God spare my life ere many years, I will cause the boy that drives the plow to know more of the scriptures than you!

All in favor say "AYE"Agreed!
there is no fifth option of Tyndale was right to produce a Bible in a language other then Latin in the western world.
Rejecting Catholicism has nothing to do with Tyndale's contributions to the Bible as we know it.
Wow. That's a disconnect of biblical proportion, as well as a not so subtle misdirection.
Tyndale giving public access to scripture was to the papacy what Edward Snowdon is to the nsa.
...And his contribution was to society, not to the bible.
How is it a disconnect of biblical proportion when I said that there was no fifth option in the poll?
Re-read then comment.
Oh right, that gets in the way of your conspiracy theory type of nonsense, doesn't it?
