I was using OTC prenatals...Blackmores pre/preg & breastfeeding. However they recently changed to pre/preg/breastfeeding GOLD. I did some research and I remember it has something new in it- a vitamin for people who do not get enough sun exposure (Vit D?) anyway I live in QLD, Australia- so I have no need for that! Too high levels of this particular vitamin are dangerous so I decided to go without it.

Now I am thinking of taking Elevit. It is the only pre/preg/breastfeeding supplement that has been clinically proven to reduce the risk of infant defect.

I take 8 vitamins a day and it's from something called "The Perfect Pack" which is put out by Nutrilite. They are not called prenatals-they just have everything I need in them plus much more:)
Yes, SweetBella, I generally know when I am ovulating. I guess I don't post much on here, because it leads to obsession which I just can't afford right now as I get ready to start teaching. So I poke my head in every so often....

I use a store brand of prenatals as well...but they're all pretty much the same, as far as I know.

I wish more people would post here too. I try to check in every day, at least. :)

yeah, i told my doctor the same thing.. because i already had some that i bought from target and she said these would be better for me...

and on top of that my insurance doesn't cover them... and she's usually looking out for my insurance so i just had to trust her on it!

Hi everyone,
I'm totally new here but I've been reading this thread the last twenty minutes and wanted to say hi. I'm 29, have 3 boys, and trying for #4.
Sweetbella, we have so much in common, because I also get my period only 3 - 5 times a year. It means you're not ovulating every month. But the good news is that it doesn't mean you can't conceive. With my first and third, we conceived right away because I happened to be ovulating. With my second, I went on seraphine, which is like clomid to help me ovulate. It worked immediately and there were no side effects at all. My cousin also got pregnant this way. Thanks to the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler I learned so much about my body and now I can tell when ovulation is happening. I also use my thermometer, though it took a little while for me to get the hang of it.
I haven't read too many posts here, so I may have missed much of what you said which might mean that this post isn't too helpful to you, but I thought I'd come on, say hello and say that I don't mind sharing my experiences with you or anyone else.
I pray that we both become pregnant soon!! And that we both ovulate.

WARNING TMI ALERT:holy:

At work today, I felt those "ew, period is here" sort of feelings, but when I had a second to use the bathroom, I found creamy white stuff on my underwear. Is that CM? Since when does it come out sort of like a period? Sorry so graphic ladies:hug:

On the non TMI side, all is well on my end. I would like to get to know you ladies a bit more other than we all want babies. For instance, you know I'm a preschool teacher and just started, now it's your turn. What sorts of jobs do you have? What's your favorite season and why.....you know, that sort of stuff:thumbsup:

:)
ttc this time for less than a week so far!
ttc for number 4 (I've answered these already I know)
And what do I do besides wait to test? Thankfully I keep busy with my boys, four bible studies a week, a prayer meeting every Wed. and a wonderful hubby!
I remember being at work for the first one and I could do nothing but obsess!! Its so hard to be patient!
Thankfully also now that I know the Lord I can pray and know that He hears me! :prayer: And that His timing is perfect! Praise God!

Ah yes CM...we have a love/hate relationship.

Non-TTC things eh...

I work in a liquor store and I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. My favourite season is winter, I hate the heat.

I am a vegetarian...I like most kinds of music (cept rap and very country) I have no pets (but wish I did)

That's about it..

Oh yeah...I am in 2WW now :help:
