So this is my new life for how long? Wondering just about allllll day if I'm pregnant (highly unlikey; see above post). How super annoying. How do you ladies shut off the incessant daydreaming about telling your family and naming baby and going into labor and all that. Or am I alone on this one?(me thinks this is also highly unlikely ) Let me know if you have found a way to shut off the "am I pg" voice. Thanks

What I did when we started, even before we knew for sure, was I just treated myself like I was pregnant, like if I had a migrane I wouldn't take my migrane meds, but I would take tylonol and take a nap, this is what OB suggested when I was pregnant the first two times.

I started on my prenatal vitamins the month before we started, so that I would already be in the habit of taking them. I also started eating healthier meals and not skiping b-fast.

Pegasus, here's a transparent moment. I'm really happy for you, but I'm jealous too. However, I will take your advice and treat my body like it's already pg...that's sound reasoning.

Something that made me smile...I backtracked a bit and looked at old TTC threads..especially the ones that had high "baby fever." It's so fun to see posts like "when will it be my turn" and then you look at the avatar of a pg lady or the CF character with a cute lil' bump. It really put things in perspective for me and it made me smile. *hugs ladies*

BFN... took test yesterday. I need to make an appt with doc since I am late. I'm sure he'll give me progesterone to kick start me again.

To take my mind off of everything else, I have been praying that God will open my womb. I am trying to focus more on that side of things than what my temp is, or my mucus, etc.

Okay, even though I swore I wouldn't, I'm joining the thread. Besides, some of my favorite girlies are here! Hi SweetBella and Beth (I wondered where you'd been.)

I'm trying not to stress myself out too much about getting pregnant, but it's pretty hard. Like my boobs have been killing me for the past few days and AF isn't due until tomorrow or the next day. I could test now, but I don't want to spend the money to be disappointed - at least not until my period is late.

Anyway, I'm happy to have some Christian ladies to hang out with.

I know 5 days before a missed period....
but, you MIGHT be able to do a blood test??? But I'm not sure either so, don't quote me on that...

Most tests say to wait until the day your period is expected, although some tests are more sensitive than others. Good luck!

I'm so glad you came, Gracefaith! I also swore that I would never come in a TTC thread. But Hubby has almost no concept of my deep desire to be pg and it's nice to talk to other ladies who understand.


My story....three days ago, I took a test and got two very thin blue lines (in the pg box). Of course, the next day I took another test and got a negative. And today got a negative. And later today, got AWFUL cramps and AF. Oh brother. I guess I got one of those rare, fluke positives or the test was defective (probably the case). It made for a rough three days and I'm glad that's all over and I can start again. I wasted fifteen dollars on tests!

Sweety I feel for you. The false positive can really make nerves worse during this time. My hubby is always joking that we should invest in the company that makes the HPTs since we buy so many of them.

Worknprogress, I know what you mean! It's awful how many of those things we buy. After that evaporation line three days ago though, I think I'm going to dish out the dough and stick with the digital ones that clearly say "pg" or "not pg". The lines make me cross-eyed.
