Tigercub, like every other TTC woman newbie, I'm hoping to fall pg the first month:) Was it really hard emotionally to not have that dream come true or did you just kind of shrug and say "we'll try again next month." I'm hoping I can take that sort of disappointment well.

I was actually floored when I found out after just a couple weeks of trying.

That first month, I was kinda disappointed when it didn't happen, but having read just about everything there is to on TTC and babies on the Net...I knew it was unlikely to fall in the first month.(was just kinda hoping I would be one of the lucky few!) Second month...a bit more of a blow but tell myself we just have to keep trying....and so on. I keep thinking I am getting used to the disappointment each time AF arrives...but really I'm not. It gets a bit harder to bounce back each time. At least now I have a plan forming in the back of my mind to see a fertility specialist.

That's just me though- I don't deal with disappointment well, I expect things to happen when I wantt hem to (one of my many short-comings as a Christian :sorry:) I am creating avenues for me to vent the disappointment, such as starting this thread :p Beginning to write in a journal (not online, an actual physical book ) and sharing my feelings with hubby. At first I didn't share those feelings with him, I assumed he would not understand and would think me pathetic for getting upset when we'd only been trying a couple of months, but in reality he was quite supportive.

A tip for all TTCers; Do not do the all important test whilst out. Please PLEASE wait until you are in the safety and comfort of your own home, preferably with your DH in the house somewhere. There is nothing worse than doing the ol' POAS in the toilet at the shops then having to wander through crowds of people (a lot with pregnant bellies or babies in prams) when that disappointment is fresh.

I started my new job as a personal trainer last week. I like it so much that we've decided to delay TTC for a little while - but under a year I'm pretty sure. We'll take it month by month and see if we want to start then. So I'll be back when I'm part of the TTC club again! ;)

hmm, for me morning sickness came at 7 weeks, but it is different for every pregnancy, I am currently getting ill everytime I smell coffee.

Again spotting is different for every pregnancy. Some women spot, or have implantation bleeding, some women don't.

Implantation typically occurs at 7 to 10 days past ovulation, and some women experience spotting around that time. I didn't - I never had the first symptom of pregnancy with my daughter till well after the second line appeared on the test.

Of course, now that I'm TTC again, I psychosomatic myself pregnant every single month. Very irritating.

Oh, and I do chart (temperature and CM) to keep up with when I ovulate - we vary between every other day and every day, starting about three days before I think I'll ovulate. I keep hearing varying comments on which way is best - one or the other has to work eventually, though!

Good luck to you. :)

well since we wanted prayers for this little one, we let the cat out of the bag last night. BTW I took another test this morning, different brand, and it was a BFP!!! I think I am going to be having twins, but I am still trying to get ahold of my OB/GYN

That is awesome! Are you hoping you have twins?

I told Hubby when we were engaged that if we ever had more than two at a time, we could give them away as door prizes at a Christian party and start all over:) Yeah, right.
Well, I'm officially TTC as of last night. Of course, there is about 2% change of falling pg because AF comes in three days, but it was fun anway, lol. The real trying (on the right days) starts after AF is gone.
