America’s media is “rapidly losing” the public’s trust to provide straight news about politics, with those who’ve lost faith reaching 50%, according to a new analysis being released Tuesday.

In just one year, trust in the news media fell from 46% to 39%, a period that covered the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court nomination fight and eventual end of the Russia collusion affair.

Friends and family, and even trade associations, now top the media as sources of trustworthy news, according to the survey from the Public Affairs Council and Morning Consult.

This is a consequence of the major publishers such as the New York Times changing policy. Before Trump, they made an effort to appear fair and balanced, even if it was mostly a facade. But they decided Trump was too big a threat to continue appearing to be fair. Eventually, all the public's trust in the media was squandered.

In all the major military campaigns of USA, a main objective to secure the TV stations to help pacify the resistance. Of course, in modern times when electronic mass media has become very common.

First, the air defenses are destroyed, and then military objectives are bombed from the air, and then the ground troops move in to secure the TV stations.

What if the enemy is already IN?? No fireworks. To someone with hostile interests (interests to exploit you), a TV station is a game-changing weapon.

Sometimes I wonder if we are controlled by some other foreign group / shadow government that runs things from behind the scenes.

At this rate the media may become less trusted than priests and pastors.

If you have not read at least the executive summary of the Horowitz IG Report on the FISA applications, a must read:

https://www.justice.gov/storage/120919-examination.pdf

If you are not shocked and appalled at how our very own FBI can falsify information, alter documents to get the government to conduct counter-intelligence operations (aka spy on us), I would be surprised. And this report is only the tip of the iceberg as another investigation is underway with a CT DoJ prosecutor named Durham. Whereas Horowitz had a narrow scope to investigate, Durham has a very broad mandate to look into how the government of the US conducted surveillance on a presidential campaign.

I have never seen them appear unfair about Trump. Do you have even one example? (I highly doubt it)

This is simply a result of blind devotion to Trump by his devotees. Simply because Trump told his followers the media is their enemy, they believed it 100% without thinking for themselves.

Must be. That's how they are with anything he tells them.
Perhaps it’s because several news outlets are saying the same thing on script from the DNC talking points. Perhaps it has something to do with making claims that are pseudo narratives leaving out all of the known facts and only reporting on the ones which fit their political agenda.

You know, don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Perhaps faith is lost in these news outlets because they were promoting stories which ended up being totally false.

Perhaps consider these facts first.

Those aren't facts, those are your speculations. Feel free to provide facts and proof but don't try to pass off your speculation as facts or proof.

Perhaps your entire story is right out of the script from the Republican talking points? Yup - I'm right...

The source you provided proves the claim. Watch the video.
No, it doesn't. But you certainly were repeating the same Republican talking point as Tucker Carlson.

It sure does. They all use the same buzzwords and statements. Word for word.

I could product daily examples since the news is statistically 90% negative on Trump. However, if you can't see that 90% negativity is statistically unlikely to be fair, then I have little hope is showing you based on a few examples.

Here is the quote the explained the rational for lack of fairness in the media
"If you’re a working journalist and you believe that Donald J. Trump is a demagogue playing to the nation’s worst racist and nationalistic tendencies, that he cozies up to anti-American dictators and that he would be dangerous with control of the United States nuclear codes, how the heck are you supposed to cover him?"
Trump Is Testing the Norms of Objectivity in Journalism

This much-duscussed commentary was the lighthouse beacon that signaled to "working journalists" that trying to appear fair to all sides of a Trump story is actually unethical.
