And Trump is sprinting to the head of the parade, hoping people won't notice that he once claimed they were rapists and drug dealers.

Now, he's saying they get deported unless we agree to finance the wall he said Mexico was going to pay for.

Well that' the problem. That money has to be made up somewhere. So over the next few years, most Americans are going to be paying a lot more taxes to pay for that tax cut he got for himself.

An observation about Mexico, the country, or gang members, or rapists, never was about millions of DACA people or even Latin immigrants overall. Most of the Democrat politicians have no hesitancy in claiming, wrongly, that the president meant other people when in fact he did not do so.

But such is the state of politics these days, especially from the totalitarian Left--say anything, no matter how much that requires reading something that wasn't present into the words, and you'll get away with it thanks to our free speech laws that the same people would take away from everyone else if they ever got control of all branches of the federal government.

Who said anything about "soft and caring values"? That's vague and not any kind of objective standard. You asked for evidence that he cares for people, I pointed out that he is fulfilling more of his campaign promises than just about about any other federal elected politician. What else is an elected politician's job if not to fulfill his campaign promises?

And the president is not God. He can't just snap his fingers and make everything change. Trump can't force Congress to vote for anything, but he can keep the issues fresh in voters minds by talking about it and then come election time we can vote out the problem senators and then things can change.
