What?! Would you rather a hurricane ravage Alabama?

Yeah, tell that to Al Gore. And the 20ish Democrat presidential candidates who are authorities on nothing. And while we're talking about 'sharpie-gate', let's not forget the hockey-stick graph that was a complete fabrication. The fact is a President is not qualified to speak on the subject and should defer to those who are.
Do you always bet on a loser? When it comes to a choice between Trump and the NWS.... I’ll take my chances with the NWS, thank you.![]()
Isn't it easy to predict what would happen after the fact? Funny thing was they missed how Dorian would stall over the Bahamas and strengthen, they also thought at one time that it would cross Florida into the Gulf. Once it was apparent it wouldn't, they went with the right projections. They didn't know if it would slam into coastal Georgia, or South Carolina first, either. They got plenty wrong on this one, as they get plenty wrong on most hurricanes. Take it from one who watched hurricanes a lot, living in Louisiana much of my younger life. You mean they didn’t accurately predict Dorian would demolish much of the Bahamas and roll over Cape Hatteras as a cat 2? It’s good to know they missed that one. Gosh. Imagine how bad it would be if the Bahamas actually took a direct hit.

Hindsight. 2020.And as I've already pointed out, the forecast he showed was obsolete even at the time of his tweet. The storm was moving away from Alabama, not towards it. The threat to Alabama was shrinking, not, as Trump said, growing. He made a mistake and no amount of spin on your part or his will change that.
ProTip: Making stuff up doesn't save face if the people you're conning know you're making it up.
You know, I don't care who the president is, if I want to know the weather forecast, I don't listen to the president. And I don't consider him a liar or an expert on everything. I didn't consider Obama an expert on most things. Trump, at least, knows business. And knows where to find advisers. When I helped elect him, I didn't expect he would be the first perfect president, either.I know this sounds absolutely impossible to believe, Jesse, but there actually are folks who listen to what Donald Trump says, despite his habit of lying & being dead wrong, & they believe him.
Well, he wasn't addressing the nation. Most news outlets don't even bother to carry his remarks unless he makes a mistake. And it seems like someone advised him with old info. I agree, he could say he was given old info, but folks like you usually don't accept what he says. After decrying racism and white nationalism, all I heard from the left was "he didn't really mean it". So why bother. Is it not important that when the President is addressing the nation with a warming about the approaching hurricane that he should have the latest forecast at hand? Not one from days prior? It is irresponsible is it not? And then to double down on his mistake instead of correcting it?

I am pretty sure he’d gain a lot more credibility and respect with “folks like me” if he had the integrity to admit his mistakes.Well, he wasn't addressing the nation. Why, cow... Why on earth would you put that image in our minds?!Hillary could have an affair with Donald, too.... similar odds.
Now this was worth getting out of bed for.
According to U.S. Code Title 18, “Whoever knowingly issues or publishes any counterfeit weather forecast or warning of weather conditions falsely representing such forecast or warning to have been issued or published by the Weather Bureau, United States Signal Service, or other branch of the Government service, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ninety days, or both.”
In other words, showcasing weather trajectories that are wrong is a federal offense.
He doesn't give one diddly dang to the fact that he's caused folks in Alabama to get scared over nothing. I used to live right on the GA-AL border, know lots of folks throughout the state. They didn't just roll their eyes at Donald being Donald. They took it as them needing to prepare for a hurricane like never seen before (on account of Donald making it sound that way, forgetting about the previous cat 5s).
Folks on the coastal areas planning on evacuating to Alabama paused in their tracks. All on account of Donald feeling the need to be right when he's flat-out dead wrong. Literally dead wrong.

I don't listen to celebrities on climate change (or much of anything), the pope on immigration, or Democrats on gun control, either.
Since you want to bring up President Obama so bad, look at how he conducted himself during the hurricanes that happened during his terms. He never gave wrong information then had himself a giant tempter tantrum insisting that the wrong info was right.
