Do the people in this thread have any idea how many different countries and companies are working on a vaccine? In addition the science of vaccine production is well known and used, so there's no method patents to be had, and content patents will be very limited in scope because of lack of novelty.

It would be in any country's best interest to help end the pandemic, even if it meant providing others with vaccines. If the world's economy collapsed because too many people were too sick to work, then Germany is also going to feel that impact. A healthy, happy population means more people out there buying and consuming.
