All countries should be working cooperatively to develop a virus. It needs to be widely available throughout the world free of at very low cost, beginning with the most vulnerable groups and moving forward from there.
As for Trump, no matter how low we set our expectations, he always manages to disappoint.

Unfortunately none of the accounts have given us enough of the discussion to be clear. I doubt that US officials want treatment only for the US. They might, however, want it to start in the US. We might actually be better off for it to start in a country with lax medical regulations. That would allow the process to move as quickly as possible. (I'm not saying that of Germany.)

Christ is doing nothing in my life. My interaction with Christ comes from Christians and I see someone proclaiming Christ along with hateful rhetoric. If you are indicative of Christianity I made the right choice leaving that horrible belief system behind.

As a Christian myself, I find your response to be very disheartening. I think it's disheartening because Christians can be a blessing or they can be a stumbling block. Sadly, the latter seems to be the norm these days. In addition the science of vaccine production is well known and used, so there's no method patents to be had, and content patents will be very limited in scope because of lack of novelty.

This virus disproportionately targets Trump supporters (i.e. the elderly). If I did believe in some kind of deity, or the concept of divine wrath/judgement, I'd be pondering that.
