This is such a nothing burger..
I discounted the news in the OP as inadequate, incomplete, and therefore currently irrelevant. I think what was pertinent were the scarcely credible hate filled posts from one member. Those merited curt comment.

I'd argue they merit reporting and no comment at all, but I see your point.

Unfortunately none of the accounts have given us enough of the discussion to be clear. I doubt that US officials want treatment only for the US. They might, however, want it to start in the US. We might actually be better off for it to start in a country with lax medical regulations. That would allow the process to move as quickly as possible. (I'm not saying that of Germany.)
There are numerous firms trying to invent a vaccine in several nations. The Chinese found some antivirals to use against coronavirus.

Trump has made it clear he wants exclusive control over their results.
Where is the evidence? Did you follow the link in the OP? Its appears to about interest rates not a corona virus vaccine.

My favorite quote from the piece:

Karl Lauterbach, a senior German politician and professor of health economics and epidemiology, said in response to the story: “The exclusive sale of a possible vaccine to the USA must be prevented by all means. Capitalism has limits.”

Uh huh. That's what you think, Karl.

This is war (you just can't face it yet). I'm glad Trump is aggressively seeking our advantage, as any American Capitalist would do! Plus, who wants a suicidal, weak-kneed EU holding the cards, any cards? The cowardly, forced shut downs of countries proves those people are toast when the hammer drops (and it will).
This is a 2020 version of what the Nazi's were promoting - might is right and our "week-kneed" neighbors don't deserve to survive!

Trump's behavior and the rhetoric of his supporters is a chilling reminder of those who were prosecuted for crimes against humanity during the Nuremberg Trials!

Germany tries to stop Trump from luring away firm working on coronavirus vaccine
An unnamed German government agency said Trump was trying to get a vaccine only for the US. Whats that even mean?

What do his supporters say? Should they be executed like the Nazi war criminals were?

At least one says that taking the vaccine away from the Germans and keeping it for ourselves is the right thing to do because we are at war with the rest of the world, a den of vipers.

You just missed it.

  • Germany’s Health Ministry confirmed a report in newspaper Welt am Sonntag, which said President Donald Trump had offered funds to lure the company CureVac to the United States.
  • Contacted by Reuters, a spokeswoman for the German Health Ministry said: “We confirm the report in the Welt am Sonntag.”

I can tell you that most Republicans would not agree to that. No. If you believe that you are very misguided.

So about these Trump supporters who are like Nazi war criminals, should they be executed like the Nazi war criminals were?

No country should have a monopoly on any future vaccine.

Oh no... not at all. Trump is a rare sort of person. He wants other countries to pay the US for the vaccine.
Germany is not going to give us the vaccine for free. No they would charge us for it. Im not seeing the difference between paying the US or paying Germany.

Yes, they are..or at least at cost, so charge the US the same they charge themselves.

No they would charge us for it.

No, they wouldn't.

Because it would be in their financial interests to. The sooner the world economies are back up and running the better.

The same would be true if The US develops the vaccine, but one fears Trumps short termism and 'america first' will see him hold countries to ransom.
