  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Peace

I know the true state of my salvation.
When I die I will go straight to heaven.
Why?
Because Jesus Christ is my Savior.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I used to go to a sacramental church. I know and taught the sacrament of reconciliation. I sat on an executive board for the sarcament of marriage.
I was a very good sacramental church goer. At that time I was not sure of my salvation. That was, until I actually started reading the Bible. Now I attend a Bible based church. I know that I know without a shadow of a doubt, that I am going to Heaven when I die.
You had eluded to being converted to Catholicism previously. May I ask, why have you left your first love?
Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Peace

Good day, TLF

Your use of "our" is some what inclusive, from you point of view it is every one. Because your view is troubled by the works of satisfaction that have been used to heep doubt upon your mind.

From the biblical point of view it has been obtained;

Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Peace to u,

Bill

For her part, Mary waits like a true mother. She does not force herself on us. She waits patiently, even for those who seem to have little time for her, for they are her children too. She waits and she prays: the Refuge of sinners, the Comforter of the afflicted the Help of Christians. She stands there waiting to come to our assistance as soon as we say the word. So let us say a word, let us all with joy, with gratitude, with confidence, with love, let us turn to her and cry out from the very depths of our hearts:

Mother! Mother! Mother!

Who is your refuge?

Deu 33:27 The eternal God [is thy] refuge, and underneath [are] the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy [them].

2Sa 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: [he is] my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 14:6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD [is] his refuge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 46:1 [[To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.]] God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psa 46:7 The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 46:11 The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.

Psa 48:3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 57:1 [[To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.]] Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until [these] calamities be overpast.

Psa 59:16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 62:7 In God [is] my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, [and] my refuge, [is] in God.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 62:8 Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 71:7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou [art] my strong refuge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 91:2 I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 94:22 But the LORD is my defence; and my God [is] the rock of my refuge.

Psa 142:1 [[Maschil of David; A Prayer when he was in the cave.]] I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication.

Psa 142:2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

Psa 142:3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

Psa 142:4 I looked on [my] right hand, and beheld, but [there was] no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

Psa 142:5 I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou [art] my refuge [and] my portion in the land of the living.

Psa 142:6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

Psa 142:7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

Pro 14:26 In the fear of the LORD [is] strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

Isa 25:1 O LORD, thou [art] my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful [things; thy] counsels of old [are] faithfulness [and] truth.

Isa 25:2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; [of] a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

Isa 25:3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.

Isa 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones [is] as a storm [against] the wall.

Isa 25:5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; [even] the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

Isa 25:6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

Isa 25:7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken [it].

Isa 25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this [is] our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this [is] the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Isa 25:10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

Isa 25:11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth [his hands] to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

Isa 25:12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, [and] bring to the ground, [even] to the dust.

Jer 16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and [things] wherein [there is] no profit

Hbr 6:17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed [it] by an oath:

Hbr 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which [it was] impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Hbr 6:19 Which [hope] we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Hbr 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, [even] Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Who is your Comforter?

Psa 23:1 [[A Psalm of David.]] The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.

Psa 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Psa 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psa 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Psa 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Psa 71:1 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

Psa 71:2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

Psa 71:3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou [art] my rock and my fortress.

Psa 71:4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

Psa 71:5 For thou [art] my hope, O Lord GOD: [thou art] my trust from my youth.

Psa 71:6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise [shall be] continually of thee.

Psa 71:7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou [art] my strong refuge.

Psa 71:8 Let my mouth be filled [with] thy praise [and with] thy honour all the day.

Psa 71:9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

Psa 71:10 For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

Psa 71:11 Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for [there is] none to deliver [him].

Psa 71:12 O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

Psa 71:13 Let them be confounded [and] consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered [with] reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

Psa 71:14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

Psa 71:15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness [and] thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers [thereof].

Psa 71:16 I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, [even] of thine only.

Psa 71:17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

Psa 71:18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto [this] generation, [and] thy power to every one [that] is to come.

Psa 71:19 Thy righteousness also, O God, [is] very high, who hast done great things: O God, who [is] like unto thee!

Psa 71:20 [Thou], which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

Psa 71:21 Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

Psa 71:22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, [even] thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

Psa 71:23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

Psa 71:24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.

(notice verse 50)

Psa 119:1 ALEPH. Blessed [are] the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

Psa 119:2 Blessed [are] they that keep his testimonies, [and that] seek him with the whole heart.

Psa 119:3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

Psa 119:4 Thou hast commanded [us] to keep thy precepts diligently.

Psa 119:5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

Psa 119:6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

Psa 119:7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

Psa 119:8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.

Psa 119:9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed [thereto] according to thy word.

Psa 119:10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Psa 119:12 Blessed [art] thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

Psa 119:13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

Psa 119:14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as [much as] in all riches.

Psa 119:15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

Psa 119:16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

Psa 119:17 GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, [that] I may live, and keep thy word.

Psa 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

Psa 119:19 I [am] a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

Psa 119:20 My soul breaketh for the longing [that it hath] unto thy judgments at all times.

Psa 119:21 Thou hast rebuked the proud [that are] cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

Psa 119:22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.

Psa 119:23 Princes also did sit [and] speak against me: [but] thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

Psa 119:24 Thy testimonies also [are] my delight [and] my counsellors.

Psa 119:25 DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

Psa 119:26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

Psa 119:27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

Psa 119:28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

Psa 119:29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

Psa 119:30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid [before me].

Psa 119:31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.

Psa 119:32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

Psa 119:33 HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it [unto] the end.

Psa 119:34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with [my] whole heart.

Psa 119:35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

Psa 119:36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

Psa 119:37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; [and] quicken thou me in thy way.

Psa 119:38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who [is devoted] to thy fear.

Psa 119:39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments [are] good.

Psa 119:40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

Psa 119:41 VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.

Psa 119:42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

Psa 119:43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.

Psa 119:44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

Psa 119:45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

Psa 119:46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

Psa 119:47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.

Psa 119:48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

Psa 119:49 ZAIN. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

Psa 119:50 This [is] my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

Psa 119:51 The proud have had me greatly in derision: [yet] have I not declined from thy law.

Psa 119:52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.

Psa 119:53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

Psa 119:54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

Psa 119:55 I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.

Psa 119:56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

Psa 119:57 CHETH. [Thou art] my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.

Psa 119:58 I intreated thy favour with [my] whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

Psa 119:59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

Psa 119:60 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

Psa 119:61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: [but] I have not forgotten thy law.

Psa 119:62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Psa 119:63 I [am] a companion of all [them] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

Psa 119:64 The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.

Psa 119:65 TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.

Psa 119:66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

Psa 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

Psa 119:68 Thou [art] good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.

Psa 119:69 The proud have forged a lie against me: [but] I will keep thy precepts with [my] whole heart.

Psa 119:70 Their heart is as fat as grease; [but] I delight in thy law.

Psa 119:71 [It is] good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

Psa 119:72 The law of thy mouth [is] better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

Psa 119:73 JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

Psa 119:74 They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.

Psa 119:75 I know, O LORD, that thy judgments [are] right, and [that] thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

Psa 119:76 Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

Psa 119:77 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law [is] my delight.

Psa 119:78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: [but] I will meditate in thy precepts.

Psa 119:79 Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies.

Psa 119:80 Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.

Psa 119:81 CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: [but] I hope in thy word.

Psa 119:82 Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?

Psa 119:83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; [yet] do I not forget thy statutes.

Psa 119:84 How many [are] the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

Psa 119:85 The proud have digged pits for me, which [are] not after thy law.

Psa 119:86 All thy commandments [are] faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

Psa 119:87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

Psa 119:88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

Psa 119:89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Psa 119:90 Thy faithfulness [is] unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

Psa 119:91 They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all [are] thy servants.

Psa 119:92 Unless thy law [had been] my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

Psa 119:93 I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

Psa 119:94 I [am] thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

Psa 119:95 The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: [but] I will consider thy testimonies.

Psa 119:96 I have seen an end of all perfection: [but] thy commandment [is] exceeding broad.

Psa 119:97 MEM. O how love I thy law! it [is] my meditation all the day.

Psa 119:98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they [are] ever with me.

Psa 119:99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies [are] my meditation.

Psa 119:100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

Psa 119:101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

Psa 119:102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

Psa 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! [yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!

Psa 119:104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

Psa 119:105 NUN. Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psa 119:106 I have sworn, and I will perform [it], that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

Psa 119:107 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.

Psa 119:108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.

Psa 119:109 My soul [is] continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.

Psa 119:110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.

Psa 119:111 Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they [are] the rejoicing of my heart.

Psa 119:112 I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, [even unto] the end.

Psa 119:113 SAMECH. I hate [vain] thoughts: but thy law do I love.

Psa 119:114 Thou [art] my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Psa 119:115 Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

Psa 119:116 Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

Psa 119:117 Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

Psa 119:118 Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit [is] falsehood.

Psa 119:119 Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth [like] dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.

Psa 119:120 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.

Psa 119:121 AIN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

Psa 119:122 Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.

Psa 119:123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

Psa 119:124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

Psa 119:125 I [am] thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

Psa 119:126 [It is] time for [thee], LORD, to work: [for] they have made void thy law.

Psa 119:127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Psa 119:128 Therefore I esteem all [thy] precepts [concerning] all [things to be] right; [and] I hate every false way.

Psa 119:129 PE. Thy testimonies [are] wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

Psa 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Psa 119:131 I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.

Psa 119:132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

Psa 119:133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Psa 119:134 Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.

Psa 119:135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.

Psa 119:136 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

Psa 119:137 TZADDI. Righteous [art] thou, O LORD, and upright [are] thy judgments.

Psa 119:138 Thy testimonies [that] thou hast commanded [are] righteous and very faithful.

Psa 119:139 My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

Psa 119:140 Thy word [is] very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

Psa 119:141 I [am] small and despised: [yet] do not I forget thy precepts.

Psa 119:142 Thy righteousness [is] an everlasting righteousness, and thy law [is] the truth.

Psa 119:143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: [yet] thy commandments [are] my delights.

Psa 119:144 The righteousness of thy testimonies [is] everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

Psa 119:145 KOPH. I cried with [my] whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.

Psa 119:146 I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.

Psa 119:147 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.

Psa 119:148 Mine eyes prevent the [night] watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

Psa 119:149 Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.

Psa 119:150 They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

Psa 119:151 Thou [art] near, O LORD; and all thy commandments [are] truth.

Psa 119:152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

Psa 119:153 RESH. Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

Psa 119:154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.

Psa 119:155 Salvation [is] far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

Psa 119:156 Great [are] thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.

Psa 119:157 Many [are] my persecutors and mine enemies; [yet] do I not decline from thy testimonies.

Psa 119:158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

Psa 119:159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.

Psa 119:160 Thy word [is] true [from] the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments [endureth] for ever.

Psa 119:161 SCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

Psa 119:162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Psa 119:163 I hate and abhor lying: [but] thy law do I love.

Psa 119:164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Psa 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Psa 119:166 LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

Psa 119:167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

Psa 119:168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways [are] before thee.

Psa 119:169 TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.

Psa 119:170 Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.

Psa 119:171 My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.

Psa 119:172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments [are] righteousness.

Psa 119:173 Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.

Psa 119:174 I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law [is] my delight.

Psa 119:175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.

Psa 119:176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

My personal refuge is God the Almighty and His son Jesus Christ. Mary was chosen as the physical mother to birth Jesus. Mary and Jesus Christ do not serve as parents together, and that is what we are saying if if we call Jesus "Father" and Mary "Mother". Mary served as a human body so that Christ would be born. Through conviction of the Holy Spirit and the reading of the living Word of God , the only person I can receive "assistance" from is Jesus. It is not biblical that I should receive anything from anyone else that I am instructed to go to God for.

This is in no way a flame to the Catholic faith. This is my opinion and belief through the reading of Scripture. Yes, of course she must have been special to carry the Messiah for 9 months and then raise Him. Beyond that, I will go to whom receives all my praise for his death....for me to give praise to anyone else would be taking away from what God deserves.

I think this says it all....

Matthew 12:49Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Mary is our Hope?
Not

God is our Hope:

Psa 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

Psa 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Psa 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand [there are] pleasures for evermore.

Psa 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD [is] upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 33:22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 38:15 For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

Psa 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 71:5 For thou [art] my hope, O Lord GOD: [thou art] my trust from my youth.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 78:7 That they might set their hope in God...:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 119:81 CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: [but] I hope in thy word.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 119:114 Thou [art] my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 130:5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 130:7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD [there is] mercy, and with him [is] plenteous redemption.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 147:11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

Jer 14:8 O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man [that] turneth aside to tarry for a night?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jer 17:7 Blessed [is] the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jer 17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, [and] they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

Jer 17:14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou [art] my praise.

Jer 17:15 Behold, they say unto me, Where [is] the word of the LORD? let it come now.

Jer 17:16 As for me, I have not hastened from [being] a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was
before thee.

Jer 17:17 Be not a terror unto me: thou [art] my hope in the day of evil.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lam 3:24 The LORD [is] my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lam 3:26 [It is] good that [a man] should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Joe 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD [will be] the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Act 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Act 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Act 2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Act 2:25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

Act 2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

Act 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Act 2:28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Act 2:29 Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

Act 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Act 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Act 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Act 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Act 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Act 2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Act 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rom 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together.

Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope,

Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Rom 8:23 And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.

Rom 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

Rom 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, [then] do we with patience wait for [it].

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God.

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?

Rom 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Rom 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth.

Rom 8:34 Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rom 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rom 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Cr 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

1Cr 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1Cr 15:21 For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead.

1Cr 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Cr 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Eph 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Col 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus [our] brother,

Col 1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Col 1:3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

Col 1:4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love [which ye have] to all the saints,

Col 1:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

Col 1:6 Which is come unto you, as [it is] in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as [it doth] also in you, since the day ye heard [of it], and knew the grace of God in truth:

Col 1:7 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

Col 1:8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

Col 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Col 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Col 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins:

Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence.

Col 1:19 For it pleased [the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell;

Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.

Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in [your] mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and [be] not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, [and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

Col 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

Col 1:26 [Even] the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Col 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Col 1:29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Th 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Th 2:19 For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Th 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2Th 2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Ti 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and LORD JESUS CHRIST, [which is] our hope;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tts 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tts 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tts 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hbr 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

Hbr 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

Hbr 6:10 For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Hbr 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

Hbr 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hbr 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

Hbr 6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

Hbr 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Hbr 6:16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation [is] to them an end of all strife.

Hbr 6:19 Which [hope] we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Hbr 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, [even] Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hebrews - Chapter 7

Hbr 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

Hbr 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

Hbr 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

Hbr 7:4 Now consider how great this man [was], unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Hbr 7:5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

Hbr 7:6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

Hbr 7:7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

Hbr 7:8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he [receiveth them], of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Hbr 7:9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

Hbr 7:10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

Hbr 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need [was there] that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Hbr 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Hbr 7:13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

Hbr 7:14 For [it is] evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

Hbr 7:15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

Hbr 7:16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Hbr 7:17 For he testifieth, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hbr 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

Hbr 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope [did]; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Hbr 7:20 And inasmuch as not without an oath [he was made priest]:

Hbr 7:21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec

Hbr 7:22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

Hbr 7:23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

Hbr 7:24 But this [man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

Hbr 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Hbr 7:26 For such an high priest became us, [who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Hbr 7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

Hbr 7:28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, [maketh] the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

1Pe 1:3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Pe 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Pe 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 John - Chapter 3

1Jo 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

1Jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

1Jo 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

No

Jesus is our Advocate:

1Jo 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous

May I make an observation and ask a question?

I do understand from your perspective how this prayer really bother's you . . . I really mean it when I say that I am sympathetic towards your feelings . . . I know what it is like to feel this way personally. . . . .

I guess what I don't understand now is why it is important to go on about it here in this forum . . . . After I responded to this thread eariler, I looked to see if a similar thing was being experienced in other congregational forums here; if they were experiencing such a need to discuss John Paul's personal devotions and denounce them or even Catholicism in general . . . .

I didn't look at every last one of them, but at most of them, at the ones that one would expect to have the most difficulty with such things, and I didn't find this happening in any of those other congregational forums . . . .

Which made me wonder why there seems to be such a need to do so here . . . . this has become a puzzlement to me . . .

This post and certainly this question, are not meant to be debative in any way . . . I am truly curious about this . . . .

I know that other groups have problems with at least some of our beliefs, but why do Baptists seem to either have the most problems with our beliefs, or at least seem to be the most vocal about them?

I mean no offense by what I have posted here, and I do not want to debate any answers given . . . . I just really don't understand what seems to set Baptists apart in this regard from the other groups here at CF and I would like to understand this better.

Thanks and Peace

TLF,

Really, I think that you should post a thread in the forum about your general concerns about our doctrinal disagreements.
In a nutshell, the bible is our final authority and the RCC final authority is the church.
This where our differances lay.
This is our home and if we want to talk about chili dogs that we ate at the pentecostal church we will. If our threads go on and on that is ok. We are just discussing.
I hope that you will respectfully abide by the rules of our forums and others by asking questions and just posting fellowship posts as we respect in your OBOB forum.
I think your request should be discussed in another thread so this one does not get derailed. Many of us are learning alot in this thread and do not want to see other forum members comming in try to ruin it.
Thanks and God Bless,
GEL
