Currently I'm 5'3, and weigh about 123 lbs. I'm in my final year of school and looking to weigh 105 lbs before I go to college (perhaps 98 lbs if my weight loss goes really well). I'm also aiming to drop a clothes size. The issue I have is my body seems to hit the wall at about 115 lbs and it won't let me lose anymore weight no matter how much I push it, so I'm wondering if anyone has any good tips for losing this excess weight?

If you haven't already, might try dropping the amount of sugar or carbs eaten. I've read of people using glucose/diabetes meters to test blood sugar levels before and after meals. What they do is try to keep glucose levels the same before a meal, and then test again one hour after eating. If the two readings are the same, then it is easier to loose weight.

Sports are fantastic. I hate going for runs when it's rainy out but I don't mind soccer even if it's pouring. The competitive nature of the thing really helps you ignore how hard you're running too. I don't jog that fast usually, but when you're chasing the guy with the ball or trying to catch a frisbee in the endzone (ultimate) you'll run faster than you know how to.

Agree on the other points except these:

Eat (even increase) fat, avoid sugar.

If you are training 30 minutes (straight), the Intensity is likely to be low(er). Limit it to 20 minutes or less and keep the Intensity high(er). Accumulative 30 minutes total is okay though.

at 5'3" 115 is a good weight. If you don't like how you look at that weight, it's not about losing weight but about gaining muscle while staying at 115ish. the extra muscle will cause your metabolism to burn the fat. You'll weigh about the same, but appear slimmer and fit into smaller clothing. so start lifting light weights, while eating a good healthy diet of fresh foods, avoid sugar and processed foods, and increase the weight you lift as you get stronger. this will help you not only look better but also feel better.

I'd say that if you hit a "wall" at 115, perhaps that is a healthy weight for you and you should leave it at that, if you are otherwise healthy.


Otherwise, most of the tips in this thread are sound. I'd summarize the keys to weight loss as: eat better, eat less, tons of cardio.

Okay, to get into shape , speed up your metabolism, rid yourself of excess fat and lose weight ,,,,,do as follows:
Stop drinking & smoking (if you do this regularly)
eat fruits & vegetables all you can (buy a food/rice steamer to make it easy on you)...(vegetables are not tasty, like junk foods,, but can be as you acquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)...avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc...and drink water . If you eat meat ,,eat only steamed fish or chicken.

Also, do an hour of walking each day at least. or some type of exercise.

Here's my simple diet routine. Proper Diet (Less to eat calories food, more on fishes, vegetables and fruits - especially those green one's) Enough Sleep (advisable no. of hours is 7-8) Regular Exercise (everyday 2-4 hours, the best time is morning) and Take Health Supplements (it's not usually required for those people who've losing weight the weight loss supplement, alternative and much better is the omega 3). According to health doctors, the best omega 3 supplement are those who've in natural pure. Like what I'm taking right now from Maxalife. Hope this simple tips helps you in a little ways... Good Luck!

Those excessive fats are quite difficult to burn out or to lose. You may change your exercise routine/activity, maybe more intense than before. Continuous on your effective diet routine like proper diet, regular exercise and proper sleep. For other they incorporate on taking natural weight loss supplement i.e. Slender factor (not diet pills) on their routine. As it also promotes and helps to lose weight.
