“To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: ‘I know your works, and where you dwell... where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to my name, and did not deny my faith even in the days in which Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.'"
Revelation 2:12
Pergamum was an ancient city located in modern day Turkey.
The Bible refers to the antichrist as an Assyrian. What country/countries are located where Assyrians came from?
Part of today's northern Iraq, southeastern Turkey, northwestern Iran and northeastern Syria. Could it be possible the antichrist comes from Turkey? (Or even one of the countries listed that was part of Assyria)?
The antichrist is referred to as: The king of the north, the Assyrian, etc.
(See Isaiah 10:5-6, 20-25, 27-33; Micah 5:5-6; Daniel 11:40-45, etc.)
The Assyrian Empire is represented in the darker orange color on the map.
