“To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: ‘I know your works, and where you dwell... where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to my name, and did not deny my faith even in the days in which Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.'"
    Revelation 2:12

Pergamum was an ancient city located in modern day Turkey.
The Bible refers to the antichrist as an Assyrian. What country/countries are located where Assyrians came from?
Part of today's northern Iraq, southeastern Turkey, northwestern Iran and northeastern Syria. Could it be possible the antichrist comes from Turkey? (Or even one of the countries listed that was part of Assyria)?

The antichrist is referred to as: The king of the north, the Assyrian, etc.
    (See Isaiah 10:5-6, 20-25, 27-33; Micah 5:5-6; Daniel 11:40-45, etc.)

IMG_7089.JPG I personally believe the antichrist will be Islamic. (I could be wrong, but I feel strongly about this). I recently came across the Greek number 666, the name of "Allah" looks eerily similar. Radical Islamic groups behead and murder Christians because they will not convert to Islam. I could see the antichrist being Islamic and enforcing the name Allah on everyone as his "mark". Whether it be a tattoo or a chip with Allah inscribed on it (as written on the photo above) inserted in the skin. IMG_7090.GIF
    Revelation 13:18
“Wisdom is needed here. Let the one with understanding solve the meaning of the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.”

I have educated myself on what the Bible says. I have studied the Bible more in the last seven years than some people have in a lifetime. I have previously thought the Roman Empire. I believe he will come from the Middle East. Recently, I have begun to believe Islamic. Please, tell me, what do you believe? Thanks in advance.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God
I believe in the trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
I believe that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ
I believe in the Historical view of prophecy.
I believe that the Bible is the Word of God and is infallible.

If you would take the time to click on each one of those thirteen identifying characteristics of the little horn(antichrist) you will know what I believe and why as the prophets are never wrong and history proves it.

Please take the time to look at them in order as listed as it will build a factual basis for the conclusion. You do not build a house starting with the roofing shingles do you?

I was raised a Baptist. After obtain adult hood I studied for myself and have found the truth through those 50 years of studying the Bible and the Teachings of the Reformation Martyrs. (one of those identifying marks is the persecution of the saints)

Islam is the King of the South in Prophecy not the antichrist. If you would like more information on this try these 10 one hour lectures on Islam and Christianity at this website. Watch in order as the next build on the previous lecture.

Hey - what's your source for the Arabic sentence? I looked up the name "Allah" in Arabic and it looks nothing like Chi Xi Stigma. However, the sentence you're interpreting seems to be "in the name of Allah" unless I have that wrong?

    It is 666 in Greek.

Edit: The "In the name of Allah" is Arabic. Got ahead of myself.

The Greek letters Chi Xi Stigma also spell a phrase in another language. And that language is Arabic. The word it spells is "Bismillah" which means (literally) "In the name of Allah".

Here is a link for you, but there are several other sources.

In the article it states "The Beast is Islam. The Beast's prophet is Mohammed. "

Can you provide Bible scripture to support the claim that Islam is the Beast?

Remember that God will do nothing till it is reveled through the prophets. So what prophecy says that Islam is the Beast?

I was sharing the link as a reference to the 666. It definitely does not mean that I agree with everything in it. The reason for sharing it is another poster wanted a link for that information. No one knows exactly who the beast is at this moment.

    Another link I shared stated:
"What is the conclusion? This author believes that the Roman manifestation is prime, and the Islamic 666 is merely present to tip us off to the fact that Rome and Islam are linked; and that together they form the fifth manifestation of the Adversarial Beast."

Saying to educate yourself was way too harsh, imo.

Many people do think that the Antichrist will be the Muslim Mahdi of their prophecies - with the Mahdi being the Antichrist and Isa being the false prophet of Revelation 13.

Unfortunately, that theory is wrong on several fronts. The first being, to become the Antichrist, the person must become the King of Israel. The term "the Christ" in its essence and biblical background means the promised great king of Israel, descended from King David, who will lead the Jews and the rest of the world into the messianic age of peace, safety, harmony.

32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

So can a muslim (Mahdi) become the King of Israel (instead of Jesus the rightful King) ? No, the person has to be a Jew. And for the Jews to embrace the person as their King, his religion has to be Judaism. So a muslim cannot become the "Anti" - Christ, someone to become the King of Israel instead of (and against) Jesus the rightful King.

Besides that insurmountable issue of not being a Jew, there is the problem of match-ups in the muslim Mahdi Antichrist theory.

    Here is the problem....

    The Mahdi - the Antichrist
    Isa - the false prophet
dajeel - ??????? There is no bible match up for the dajeel (the muslim version of the Antichrist, who in their prophecies Isa, their Jesus, does not even return until the Mahdi is in a big battle with the dajeel, which could go either way, until Isa comes and defeats the Antichrist). But see that can never play out because there is simply no biblical match-up to play the role of the dajeel person.

Islam, the Koran itself was actually created by Abdul Malik. From a video by Jay
    Smith....
(copy and paste from his video page by me - Douggg)_
Jay Smith points out many interesting points that Muslims never told us.
Allah & Muhammad had nothing to do with the Quran or Islam.
The Quran and Islam was created by Abdul Malik in the 8th century who was a caliph from 685-705 - the great Arab reformer.
Abdul Malik takes and creates an Identity for Arabs.
Abdul Malik names who the prophet will be.
Abdul Malik creates the first Quran in the 8th century.
Abdul Malik Introduces the name Muslim.
Abdul Malik Introduces the name Islam.
It all begins with Abdul Malik in the 8th century.
200 to 300 years after Muhammad's death, the Quran was made.
We have the biography of Muhammad at the 9th century.
There is no complete manuscript at all from the 7th century, they only appear in the 8th century.
70% of the Quran is borrowed writings from Jewish writings and Christian sectarians and is all agreed with western scholars.
There are no peaceful verses in the Quran.
Muhammad was never about peace. He killed, raped and robbed everywhere he went.
20% of Muslim scholars don't even understand the Quran.
The Quran has no complete stories, only in Sura 12, about Joseph, stories dont begin, stories don't end. No transitional phrase from story to story. It's confusing.

If the Antichrist rises from the Middle East, there is a possibility he could be Islamic. I am not saying he is. But most probable Nations are in fact, Islamic. Part of today's northern Iraq, southeastern Turkey, northwestern Iran and northeastern Syria are possibilities of where he may come from. He is known as, "the king of the north" and "the Assyrian". There are two clues to where he will arise from. But I also understand your point.

I rely on this biblical statement
    Isaiah 8:20
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

The article you posted does not speak according to the Bible. therefore there must not be any truth in it and it is from the evil one. It is a counterfeit to the truth.

Your statement "No one knows exactly who the beast is at this moment."
Do you really believe that Jesus would allow us to enter the last days with out telling us who the beast is so that we do not worship it?
    Revelation 13:4
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

The Identity of the Beast is in the prophecies of the Bible for all to see and understand if they wish to.

Please do not twist my words or question my faith. No one knows exactly who he is YET. There will come a time when we WILL know. So "do I believe Jesus would let us enter the last days without us knowing who the beast is?" Of course not!!! Yes, the identity of the beast is in the Bible for ALL to see and to interpret. But we do not know exactly who this person is at this time, but we will definitely know in the future. You seem to know the name of the person already.

i read where you intensely studied the end times for 7 years. That's great! I am all for you. I myself can relate, as I have done the same for 45 years.

I would like to suggest a couple of considerations for you. In Ezekiel 39, following the destruction of Gog's army, there are two feasts on dead bodies in the text. The first is in Ezekiel 39:4, that one is on Gog's army.

The second is in Ezekiel 39:17-20, that one (to cut to the chase is the feast on the armies assembled to try and fight Jesus - Armageddon).

The 7 years following the cleanup of Gog's army from the land, and burning of the weapons - is the same 7 years in Daniel 9:26-27.

What it boils down to is Islam, a curse on the world to be sure, will be destroyed before the 7 years begin. Damascus gone, Mecca gone, places like Indonesia (probably) the isles gone, Islam eradicated.
    __________________________________________________________

The other consideration is that the person in Daniel 11 is not the king of the north, but the king of the west (implied). The kings of the north, south, east - are not the historic kingdoms of the Ptolemy's and Seleucid's, but are global powers. The west, the north, the south, the east - all nations.

The person, toward the end of the 7 years, will be attacked from the south, then the northern king reacts and attacks him, then news from the east (the Chinese are coming) worries him.

That gathers all nations into the middle east - right before the event of Revelation 6, the sixth seal takes place and the world sees Jesus before the throne of God. It sends terror into the armies of the world, and they unify under the beast, Satan, and the false prophet - to do the unthinkable - to make war literally against Jesus.

    ________________________________________________________________

Regarding the Assyrian. When the person is killed and brought back to life as the beast that last 42 months of the 7 years - it is because at that time, the person becomes possessed by the unclean spirit of the beast (currently in the bottomless pit) of an un-named ancient person, imo, Nimrod who was an Assyrian.

    The Assyrian (Isaiah 10:5-12)

This passage is stating that the Lord will use the Assyrians to punish his people for their transgression outlined in the preceding verses.
It does not say that the Assyrian race will produce the antichrist.

I like Pink and he also says the Antichrist will be received by the Jews as their messiah, and also that the Pope doesn't qualify.

However, Pink is not perfect... he should have wrote "Names of the person" because the person is not the Antichrist while being those other names. Using the term Antichrist to label the person for all occasions for those other names is simply wrong.

Micah 5:5-6 NASB This One [Jesus] will be our peace. When the Assyrian invades our land, When he tramples on our citadels, Then we will raise against him Seven shepherds and eight leaders of men. [6] They will shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, The land of Nimrod at its entrances; And He will deliver us from the Assyrian When he attacks our land And when he tramples our territory.

The Bible has many references to Assyria playing a major role in the end times. The Antichrist is also called the Assyrian by Isaiah many times and by Micah as coming from the land of Assyria which will be the land to be devastated during the return of Jesus Christ to save Israel from the invasion of the Assyrian (Micah 5:5-6).

Is Isaiah 14 the Antichrist is called both the Assyrian and the king of Babylon:
''The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, [so] shall it stand: That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.''(Isaiah 14:24-25).

The Antichrist in Daniel 11 is said to come from the Seleucid dynasty of the Grecian empire which is North of Israel. The region of Nineveh and Assyria was part of the Seleucid dynasty.
