  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was meditating on His Word while watching TV this last Sunday, and while I was watching there was a commercial about rehabilitation, a man had one half of his body burned by fire and he was learning to walk again, at that very moment, an image was put into my head and then all of a sudden I broke out crying. From past experiences I know that when this happens in me it is the Father, the Son; the Holy Spirit putting to death any carnal images of my past.

The image that was put into my mind was the image of someone who has suffered from a stroke. In an immature mind, who thinks that God punishes people for doing wrong, most would ask the question, “Why did God do this to me?” or “Why did He allow this to happen to me?”

Understanding how He teaches us through images, it is not that we take thought to create an image from the words we read or hear, which is idolatry, but that the Father takes the image already there and He explains what it means. The Father gives us the image in our mind and then by His understanding of that image, He gives us His definition of it through our heart (which is His Heart, Christ). All things are through Christ. He gives us the bread (image) and the wine (understanding of that image).

I know it seems I take the long way around to explaining something, but if some things are not understood first, what is shown to us can be misunderstood, which brings me back to the image of a person suffering the results of a stroke. The results of a stroke is an image of the finished work of Christ in us in that we know that when someone suffers a stroke, one side of their body does not work properly any more. This is what Christ did upon the cross in that He put to death one half of our duality, and the half that does not work properly anymore is our carnal half, our fleshly half.

When His word says that God creates evil, we now that it is that God creates calamity, which is the same truth as; the creation was subject to vanity unwillingly. This is the calamity that God created for one purpose and one purpose only, so that He could raise us back up again and know how much He loves us. In short, He made us lame so that He could heal us, so that He gets the glory. This same picture is in the story of the man blind from birth, it was not because his parents had sinned, it was so the glory of the Lord could be manifested through him, through his physical body, which also is an image that has to be defined by the Father, it is what happens inside of us with our mind, heart, spirit.

We cannot ever completely understand life if that is all we know, the only way for us to fully comprehend life is to die and then be raised up again, and through the renewing of the mind this is what we come to understand and by it we praise Him and give Him the glory for carnality cannot understand the spiritual things of the Father.

Paul says that to be carnally minded is death, but what the carnal mind cannot even understand is itself, and just like the fact that we cannot fully understand life if that is all we know, the same holds true for being carnal, it cannot fully understand death if that is all it knows. In short, we cannot fully understand life if we cannot even understand death.

To thank God for your frailties is to have received His strength.

life is actually clear, only satanic/devilish phenomena that appear to be the reason why some people do not (fully) understand it can be an obstacle for them to its full understanding, namely the things that make them think wrong of life, life is the positive form of existence for the soul without any affliction and harm, the "darkness" is the thing that has tried to break our peace and embitter our lives, also, from this viewpoint death is the negative form of existence, negative as to feeling, perception, condition/shape or presence of consciousness, God works for overall life's provision, the "darkness"(the negative "god") tries to ruin life

Blessings

Thus , through darkness, the "Light" is understood.^_^.

 Jugg,

Deep are mysteries, eh . Crying is a major part of growth and you are not alone when the Father/Christ/Holy Ghost but most importantly the Comforter visits . For "what" came after the tears? Understanding ? A conscious decision that brings peace to the mind for it is rooted in the Christ/Agape/Love (Its been a while for this particular "thoughts" thread and the previous Christ means all that after it and so much more to it " as you know" my friend  ^_^ ). Blessed is the crying man . Is it not scripture brought to life Romans 12:2 .

The black backdrop of night illuminates the holes thru which the invisable substance of heaven shines unto the visable shadow of life.

this sounds like some strange kind/discipline of spiritual/mental self-torture rather than right exercise of faith in the true God, as if the masochism is better than the contribution to the overall salvation in Him

well there are two kinds of sorrow, one good and one evil.

the evils that poke at us do a fine enough job at torturing. better to suffer over evils inside than to be blind to them and be controlled by them. it is not good to despair over them though, at least not forever.

the darkness can help to push us closer to God. demons hate when that happens, it is like taking their sword and attacking them with it.

the "darkness" is not good in and by itself, but does only unrighteousness

absolutely. without God it would only be hell. I don't even want to love my neighbor without loving God but i'm not that good at paying attention to God all the time yet. but the evils that poke at me sure do remind me of the difference between heaven and hell.

(second highlighted part)

That is one verse for me that is constantly being given more/new life ..... the garden keeps expanding as the pounding out takes place ..... for we are His workmanship ..... a house not built by hands for Him to occupy

And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

Can anything good come out of Nazareth, did God call light out of darkness, does the desolate woman have more children then one who has a husband, as my dad continual tells me, perception is everything.

And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

there was a thick smoke

Exodus 19:18 "mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace"

Can anything good come out of Nazareth

Jesus came not out of Nazareth, but out of heaven, and was born in Bethlehem, not in Nazareth

did God call light out of darkness

it is not written that God made the light from darkness, but it is written that He said "let there be light" and there was light (Genesis 1:3)

does the desolate woman have more children then one who has a husband, as my dad continual tells me, perception is everything.

if you mean Isaiah 54:1 and Galatians 4:27, then the word "desolate" is in the sense of "righteous" there, or as the Lord Himself, Jesus, said "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."(Matthew 5:3), which indicates the worshipers and, in general, the people that do not commit spiritual iniquity/wickedness, because the spirituality is actually occultism and the religiosity - idolatry, namely the form of spiritual iniquity which eve and adam committed initially, "poor in spirit" means without spirituality/religiosity, though with (exercising/practicing) faith in God, because spirituality means spirituality, religiosity - religiosity, while faithfulness means faithfulness, and love - love

"Love that loves because you are loved is mere trade, a thing bought in the marketplace. But to truly love is to not feel/think that you are giving anything, and it is only a love such as this that can know what it truly means to be free, by simply, without thought, being it."

As the sheep and the goats separate ... Matthew 25:31-46

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
