Actually I did get more information.

My co-worker was at some social gathering with that family and she dropped our names and told her and her parents all about us. The birth mother and her parents sound interested in wanting to meet us, and just couldn't believe we would be willing to take twins and keep them together. They also sounded like they would be willing to keep it open as far as exchanging photos.

I gave my phone numbers and offered for us to meet with the birth mother and grandparents. We can bring our parents with us to show that we have family support, and we can bring tax information, and financial reports to show that we can afford to raise them. They can come to our house, etc.

Gosh this almost sounds too good to be true - I almost don't want to be pregnant now (please pray I get an answer either way on that soon). I realize that there are other roadblocks that could happen, including health problems since mom is 13 and tiny - she probably won't carry to term. I was told that she is following her doctors instructions and is taking her prenatal vitamins.

The only problem that's showing itself right now is that the birth mother's grandmother is against the adoption and is trying to influence the birth mother as such. In fact as my co-worker was telling her about us, the grandmother was making all these speculations, even that my husband is a pedophile. Almost crazy to the point of being laughable. As I told my co-worker, this girl is 13, scared, and probably upset for disappointing her family. She needs to be shown that she's cared for and loved, and as long as her parents are doing that, she will make the right decision.
I hope everything works out for you, just put it in the Lord's hands. Keep praying

Which is another reason I gave up the caffeine. I have what is called "Factor V (five) Leiden". It's a genetic blood disorder that, best described, is the exact opposite of hemophilia. In fact, it is often called thrombophilia. It causes the blood to clot *really well*.

It's also very very common. They just discovered it about 15 years ago and it can be diagnosed by a very simple blood test. We discovered I had it when I got a blood clot in my left leg that was the catalyst for the final diagnosis of cancer. (LONG story. *G*)

Kae

Oh my no kidding. Maybe you were meant to have that clot so the cancer could be found. Scary! Glad you are all right now.

A friend of our's brother has something similar. He's on a dosage of coumadin that my husband has never seen before or since.

I just want to tell everyone that I'm really sorry for all the times I've come for help with my depression/anxiety problems. I see now that I have been a huge bother here. My sad thread in the general forum is further evidence that I have overstepped in requesting help. A thread dedicated to my mental problems was a bad idea, and selfish on my part. Again, please forgive me. I didn't mean to draw so much attention....even by posting this, I feel I'm doing it again, but I didn't know any other way to let everyone know that I was sorry.

You keep telling us that you think we think you're a pain. But we keep insisting that we want you to come to us, your friends, so we can keep encouraging you and uplifting you. :holy: Please don't think that we feel you irritate us, annoy us, bother us, etc...in any way. You are not selfish one bit!!! I have read how you have helped others in these forums and I know that you're a true godly woman! :tutu:

I often wonder if it is part of the depression that she experiences that has her believing that she is posing an imposition on us.

Angie,

Snap out of it. We do want you here and nothing you have said could be further from the truth. That is Satan putting a bug in your ear if you believe that you are bothering us. Don't listen to him! He wants to deprive you of your faith and those you share it with.

Having suffered from depression, I know some of the feelings that accompany it. It is amazing what I thought and how I perceived others' feelings/thoughts toward me. It isn't always reality, but still real, if you know what I mean.

I know you mean well with the advice, but that first sentence stands out to me as a red flag. I heard it often in my deepest depression; sometimes when I heard someone say that to me, it made me want to crawl into a hole and hide, or respond "If I could snap out of it, I would have... long ago!!!" or both.

I think the rest of your advice is very much on target. Well done. :amen:

seajoy, may God richly bless you. We are your brothers and sisters in Christ, and welcome you always.

In Christ's love,

Seajoy,

Dear heart. God gave us our Christian families, the Church, to be there in times of need. To hold us up when we cannot hold ourselves up. Tor pray for us when we feel we cannot pray. To rejoice with us, to cry with us, to bear one another's burdens.

Don't ever think that you shouldn't post things here. As everyone else has said, we want you to feel comfortable enough to bring your sadness, depression, sorrows to us for us to share and to help make them easier to bear.

Here's something you may want to print out to keep around you in times of depression:

Devil's
Evil
Plot:
Repeating
Endless
Scummy
Stupid
Ideas
Of
Non-worth

You are our friend and loved one. We love you no matter your spots....:D

Praying for you!

Kae

I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ your dear Son,
That you have kept me this night from all harm and danger.
And I pray that you would keep me this day also
From sin and every evil, that all my doings and life may please you.
For into your hands I commend myself, my body and soul and all things.
Let your holy angels be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me.

Amen.:crosseo:

seajoy,
Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I don't think you are a bother either. That has to be Satan trying to get your attention. Tell him to go away. We here care about you and what happens to you. We care about your well being. When you hurt, we feel your pain. We pray for you, I pray for you.

Yes, cast him out in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Don't be afraid to boldly command him away! You belong to God. How dare he?!?!

If we can't help you, we have little purpose being here.

Want me to kick the devil's bum for ya?

Angie darling, you just listen to sister Kae and all will be well. If you can't go to your sisters and brothers in Christ, well... who is there? Personally, I enjoy your sad thread. It gives others a chance to unload as well. So it has turned an appeal of help into a ministration to all.

You just tell old Lu (or Scratch as they call him down south) that I said to bugger off!

You keep right on telling us your problems. That's just as it should be.

Oh, one more thing; this thread was started by you and seems to be the most successful thread in the entire forum! ;)

You're okay, sis! We're there for you.

Dear Seajoy,

Is it possible that your feelings are related to the wedding? Post-big-event-letdown? You've had a lot going on over the past few weeks. We're all praying for you. Don't feel you're imposing on us. That's what friends are for. Try reading Psalms. Might help, can't hurt. Something for every mood in Psalms.

Hugs.

The outpouring of love and concern for me is overwhelming to say the least. To have such friends is a blessing indeed. I thank you all.

A dear friend told me to be honest here when I feel crummy.....so that's what I'm doing. I'm very tired after my son's wedding. Stressful, tiring things cause me to obsess. And yes, I suppose satan truly enjoys it when this happens. He is such a pain, afterall. I recoiled from what is good and right for me to do when I feel like this.

I see in what you my friends have posted, that God is greater than depression and ocd. He is right there as always, ready to take me, or anyone else here, in our weakness and hold us. Thank you to all of you for your prayers and encouragement. I am so blessed to call you friends.

Dear Seajoy,

Is it possible that your feelings are related to the wedding? Post-big-event-letdown?
Hugs.

Hit the nail on the head, I bet, Bloomer. When I was a teenager, this kind of rollercoaster ride was a common occurance for me. You see, depression and Manic depression, run in my family. So, yeah, I think you've got it, Bloomer. Just tell old Scratch to bugger off, Seajoy. Don't listen to him.

You know, whenever an opportunity comes up for ol' Scratch, it reminds me of a description of a C.S. Lewis character in The Magician's Nephew, 'Uncle Andrew had such beautifully long white fingers. He rubbed his hands together and cracked his knuckles in delight, till they crackled like popcorn. But what Digory noticed most was the greedy expression that came upon his face...' This isn't an exact quote as I haven't the book with me. Still it's the gist of the description. This is what I picture when ol' Scratch sees another opportunity to torment one of the chosen. Like you, Seajoy. Remember this, never forget it, you are a princess. No, really. You are adopted into the family of Christ as his sister. He calls us his sisters and brothers. We are part of the royal family of God. That ol' Scratch, he likes to despitefully torment the children of promise as he has lost them forever. 'This is enough for the lowliest begger to hold his head up with pride...' So take comfort. The king of creation and mankind calls you his sister.
