Synger, how was your Easter? Did all go well with the family?
Yes, thank you. Brothers 1 and 2 didn't fight, or even talk much. Brothers 2 and 3 got along famously, and even talked politics Hunter, who is number 2, is more and more amazed at how similar he and his elder brother think about some things, now that they're talking about them. He used to think he was the outcast. Now brother 1 is, if anyone is)

The ham was huge, the broccoli salad was a hit, there was too much food, the autistic niece was fairly settled and I even got a few hugs and kisses from her through the evening, and I got most of a samurai sudoko started while folks talked.

We got home and our homeless friends are still here.. they've been here since Friday helping on the playset, but we're really feeling the stress of hosting so long. They're staying one more night.

Gem stayed at her grandma's for the evening, and both Hunter and I have tomorrow off, so we can start cleaning the house in preparation for her birthday party next weekend. Plus we're having lunch with Pastor and his wife tomorrow, which is something we're lookign forward to.

So as soon as I finish this (very strong) vodka and diet pepsi, I'm off to bed.

Hugs to all.

Sounds like a great day, Synger. I think we'll all sleep well tonight, as active as we all seemed to be.

I could see that my mother enjoyed it and everyone made them feel so welcome, like a homecoming. It couldn't have been much better.
They used to be so vital to the congregation when I was young. It's a shame that personalities and egos can be allowed to become so destructive to so many others as well as ourselves.

So happy to hear this and I hope they continue to go.

I had the same problem a few days ago after having it a week. I just deleted all my inobx messages. Actually just try deleting the messages one at a time and see if it goes away. If not then delete all inbox messages.
Thanks Rad! I thought I was nuts...unfortunately, that could still be the problem! :swoon:

Wow it sounds like everyone had very blessed Easters!

Yesterday we, the congregation, received a surprise...our new pew Bibles and LSBs came in early and were dedicated yesterday! I'm so excited. We'll start using them next Sunday.

I also made a decision about a "position" I was offered in the Women's Guild. The president asked if I would be the new "Spiritual Life Coordinator" for the group. It's sort of a new position and, after praying about it, I feel that I'd enjoy serving in that way.

Mom was sick with a stomach bug this weekend so we'll be having Easter dinner on Friday when my Sister and her family come up. So looking forward to the ham. :D

Have a happy day everyone!

Kae

Good for you, Kae! May God bless your new position at your church.
