Places I've found missing library books:

• Check the laundry basket of half-folded items that's next to your chair in the living room, to make sure it didn't get bumped off the table into it and then covered by laundry
• Check under the couch, where it might have gotten kicked when the husband and daughter came romping through
• Check in your "library bag" -- you may actually have put it where it needs to be and then forgotten it
• Check under the passenger's seat of your car, where it slid off the seat and onto the floor when you braked too hard
• Check beside your bed, under the stack of other books and magazines you've been meaning to put away when you get five minutes to do it

Those are 2 places I most definitely find things I've thought lost.

Think like a woman??? LOL! My son is like that! Drives me nuts! I might leave a book or two lying around, but not for long. Through middle and High School, I worked in the Library. All my books are in order according to author and either fiction or non-fiction. My son does get them back into the office, if I'm lucky. Usually he tosses them in the middle of one of the book cases. Then he hears me when I come in, "Bloody, buggery, lazy.... gripe, gripe gripe..." Doesn't do any good to gripe to him. He still won't put them back right. When one has several hundred books, organization is essential. I love books.

Good news! Got paid today for the first time in months! The job is going along swimmingly and the boss seems to like my work. Thanks again for all the moral support and for putting up with me. Hopefully things will go like C.S. Lewis puts it, "When things are going badly it just seems like they will never get better. But when it all turns around, things just seem to get better and better." I so love the Narnia series.

Seajoy, it's just handyman work. Still, I'm remodeling a room for a lady. She's picking everything out and deciding what's being done. I'm responsible for making it happen. The wiring is finished and I'll be assembling a Wilson truss in the existing rafters this week. It's just diagonal bracing that looks like a big W that's kind of flattened out. The current framework just has straight braces and the ceiling is sagging a bit. I wish her son hadn't taken the original ceiling down. Gosh, what a mess! The P.O. had put in the blown type of insulation. The stuff is ok, untill it's disturbed. Yikes! Anyway, I've finished the sub-floor for the carpeting and am inserting more studs in the walls. We have a fairly light snow-load here, still 24" on centre is just a bit... weak. Now it's thoroughly over built at 12" on centre. an Ah-nold wall! As soon as the fireblocking is finished, I'll be installing the Ceiling (drywall with pine bordering instead of plastering the seams), and the pecky cedar (toungue and groove) paneling. So the job should last for the next month. She's also hinting that they may want me to help put up the garage as well. so I just may be busy here for some time.
