CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am not in Minnesota but am very close!! So yeah, that is the one.
How many sports bars and pubs? Hmm not sure. The only tiime I tend to go to that area is when I have to park on a higher level or am going to a movie to pass time. Yeah, I have been there plenty of times so if I have to spend many hours there, say when I take a group of exchange students there, I go to a movie. I prefer many of the smaller malls in the Twin Cities. Although we did a shop til we dropped the first time we went there.

I don't post very much but I wanted to tell everyone how much I enjoy reading this site and particularly this subforum.
I learn so much from everyone and it inspires me to keep on learning as I go about preparing for my Sunday school classes (I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Sometimes, it's like herding cats!) and when I'm feeling down I know if I come here I'll see some wonderful fellowshiping.
So, thanks everyone!

Hello Kae...good to see you! I tried teaching 7th and 8th graders sunday school for one year. It didn't turn out so good. They seemed to like me, but I couldn't control them. At the end of the year, the naughtiest young man of the bunch came back in the room and thanked me for being his teacher! That one still baffles me.
