There's been another assassination attempt on Trump

Some who are protected by the Secret Service are cooperative, considerate. Others are selfish and demanding.
I respect leaders like Bush and Obama who make the "sacrifice" of golfing at a military base to help the SS manage its responsibilities on budget.
It speaks well of their character.
Many people, like me, believe that character is very important in leaders.
I am very concerned that the Republican candidate wants to have a rally in Springfield, OH, although the city's Republican mayor is telling him not to come.
Hasn't the city been through enough from the dog eating lies? A rally there has such potential for violence and chaos--which could endanger the candidate as well as the populace!
And if riots and trouble ensued, the same people who are blaming Democrats for asking people to vote would try to blame them.
I look forward to the candidate heeding the Republican mayor's warning to stay home---not create a disaster and blame others.

Then Trump should not campaign or hold rallies because someone might commit violence.
That's the desired outcome isn't it?

Nah. For my part, the desired outcome would just be for him to go away and retire peacefully somewhere quiet.

Springfield, OH has suffered enough from the Republican candidate's careless, dishonest comments.
If the Republican mayor tells you to stay away, he should do the right thing and let Springfield recover from his previous verbal assaults.

I wish he had done that before he won the primary

You are still missing the point! It is the job of secret service to protect the protectee where ever they CHOOSE to go. They are not required to live their lives according to inefficiency of secret service leadership. The fact is the current leadership got caught with their pants down and the top brass needs to go. Trump was not adequately protected because he is Trump.

It was only the sharp eye of one field agent that prevented tragedy at the golf course. The operation as a whole failed to secure the perimeter no matter how much you try to spin this.

It is sickening to watch the director pat himself on the back and claim success. He needs to go for his role in the failure in PA not to mention this one.

That's a naive perspective.

Amazing how some liberals always need a source for information that is easily attainable. Find it yourself so you can then do a character assassination of the source. Liberals are so predictable. I’ll give just one hint my source in this case is ex secret service in contact with many current field agents. Happy hunting.
The only place I have seen it discussed is in unreferenced comments on this board (prehaps only this thread). Where is Mr. Gaetz evidence?

Perhaps I mean "Trump should not campaign or hold rallies in cities that have had bomb threats, terrorized residents, and increased dangers due to a candidate's lies and doubling down on them because the mayor of the city has ample reason to be wary of the candidate's visit."

Terrorized residents? I haven’t heard of any violence. Got a link?

Then I would deduce from that you are not up to date with your information sources and should consider something other than liberal propaganda media.

See I said you guys were predictable. I am posting the link to the source you requested. I suggest you actually listen to the information before you go into character assasination mode. I am not interested in your diversion by attacking the credibility of the sources, if you can actually discredit the facts with facts we can have conversation. A Shocking Revelation About Trump's Threat Level (Ep. 2333) - 09/20/2024 Approximate 12 min point to 30 min point. But you could benefit from entire video. The later segment deals with borders issues. Important info.

There is nothing astute about ignoring facts because of political bias.
I agree. I see many Republicans doing this all the time.

I am not clicking on a "rumble" video. No way, no how, not ever. I just assume that site is some sort of cyber attack on my computer. I don't have the tools to protect myself. I'm not some cybersecurity guy.

What I did see elsewhere is that Mr. Gaetz is talking about assassination squads. Either this is some paranoid conspiracy fantasy, or Mr. Gaetz is revealing sensitive information he was briefed on. No official statements similar have been made by any government law enforcement or security agency.
