If God gave the Revelation to Jesus Christ to show his servants the things which must shortly come to pass was the destruction of the twin towers (one of the most infamous if not the most infamous and widely witnessed events in history) revealed in scripture?

No, this particular destruction pales in comparison with the millions of death in other catastrophes, including wars and various natural disasters. However, I do find it "prophetic" that we see the twin towers featured prominently in certain disaster films. It appears that God anticipated their demise.

The bible is not a divination tool.

Hi Johan

Interesting question! It is possibly referenced in Zechariah:

Zechariah 6:1-3 (NIV)
I looked up again, and there before me were four chariots coming out from between two mountains—mountains of bronze. The first chariot had red horses, the second black, the third white, and the fourth dappled—all of them powerful.

It is rather an important passage as the horses referred to are very similar to the horses in the first 4 Seals of Revelation 6. My tentative interpretation is that it signals the event that start the 7 Seals of Revelation 6.

However the Two Towers were made of steel, the “mountains of bronze” may refer to the Two Towers if one accepts that bronze was the closest word Zechariah had to steel, or possibly referred to the colour of the towers.

The first seal of Revelation 6 is described below:

Revelation 6:1-2 (NIV)
I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.

If my interpretation is correct, then the first seal corresponds to the US led “War on Terror” after 9/11, when the US rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest, including invading Afghanistan and Iraq, among other military actions.

Whether or not you agree with me, I hope you find that interpretation interesting.

Not that I can see, although I'm sure that folks who really want to find something in Scripture they think alludes to the WTC attack will find something to grab hold of.

Sure, given how often God uses movies as His favored medium for prophetic revelations.
