You missed the point. Truth is true because truth is consistent and unchangeable. You know when people lie because they never tell the same story the same way twice. The police know, the psychologist knows, the tax man always knows when people tell a lie.

I agree that the many are called and few are chosen is about the work and not called to Him per se. The seed is a number no man can count and will be in the millions, hundreds of millions... but still a small percentage based on world population (I tend to think the amount of a tithe). But don't forget, Israel was cut off after being brought into a covenant relationship with God. The idea that we can't be cut off is proven wrong by biblical history. Shalom.

God did preserve a remnant or 10% of Isreal. With evolution after a major extinction it is always 10% that God uses to repopulate the earth. Jesus talks about the wide and narrow Gate. Many and Few could be translated majority and minority. Zechariah 13:8 says: "But one-third will be left in the land. ... In the whole land, declares the LORD, two thirds shall be cut off and perish".

Rev 7:9 talks about a multitude of people: "After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands."

Today I think 1/3 of the people are saved but only 10% serve God and represent Him.

I spend all my time showing people that there are no contradictions between Science, History and the Bible. That is not always easy to do when you have to deal with talking snakes and a tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

What is the opinion? I am just quoting the Bible and having a discussion on the translation and interpretation of various passages in the Bible. That is what we do as Christians, we try to figure out what the message is the Bible has for us today for our generation. There are people that will live their whole life and in the end have nothing to show for it. I was raised to be functional, and we do all we can to make a positive contribution to society and mankind.

Straw man statement where is your common sense. The truth is we elect a president every four years that is the truth and the outcome varies.

No, certain truths can be dependent on certain conditions. What's true today might not be true tomorrow (for example, the statement that 'Today is Sunday').

I said you spot a liar by their inconsistency. Everytime you talk to them they tell you a different story. The truth is always consistent and never changes. Every time they tell you the same story. They say a liar can not remember what lie they told so they will try to make up a different lie and their story is inconsistent.

The also have lie detector tests that pick up the inner turmoil and conflict. I think a lot of depression, anxiety and other psychological issues is due to inner conflict and people doing what they know to be wrong. Even cancer and a lot of diseases can be due to what they use to call bad humor or a person out of sorts or out of agreement with themselves.

I guess I can understand your point in how being stubborn can play a part in the process. They know what is right but because they are stubborn they persist in not doing what is good, right, proper and true. Even there are Christians that thing they are forgiven and they can get away with sin. Yet Paul says you will reap what you sow and we do suffer the consequences for our actions.

Christian claim that the miracles prove that they are abiding in the truth. I know a pastor who would invite people to his church and say if you do not see miracles and healing then don't come back. He believed the evidence of the truth in his preaching was the miracles and healings people received when he prayed for them after he preached the message.
