Really....God didn't tell
Saturday ... the Sabbath ... became our most cherished day. Not only for our relationship with God, but also for our marriage relationship. Because the World lost its grip on our Saturdays. Instead, we get real rest, we take our concerns to God, and we spend more time listening to each other.
We will never give up the Sabbath.
Our most precious day ... each week.
If only Yahweh said so......Can you imagine that happening every single day forever? Welcome to the NT Sabbath
No the Jewish believers were simply coming out of the old Covenant and it took time for it to decay and fade away and it was ready to vanish. They were in the time of reformation. It didn't make sense to force gentiles to come under the old covenant and then bring them out of it when it fades away.it is implied...otherwise here would be no reason to add that
Rather Paul also wroteRather, Paul wrote--
8Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." (Romans 13)
Paul makes a distinction between the two and how they are applied to people in different conditions,You are saying they are mutually exclusive, which is not so. We follow because we love The Almighty...
God didn't tell anyone about the Sabbath until Moses was leading Israel out of Egypt and to the promised land. And now, the Sabbath is not even a single day of the week anyways.
A subjective argument. I could say the same about you. How about instead, produce scripture that states Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, or Joseph remembered the sabbath day by keeping it holy. Is there any scripture that states anyone prior to moses and the israelites kept the sabbath day?
That doesn't say that adam remembered the sabbath and kept it as a holy day.
In all history since Creation, how many people did Yahweh speak with personally ? (that we know for sure from Scripture)
Yes !Read Genesis. Yeshua Himself said that Shabbat and marriage was given to Adam
Paul makes a distinction between the two and how they are applied to people in different conditions,
"2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."(Romans 8:2 KJV)
and
"the law is not of faith"
The Word of God Himself gave us a directive of this Law (as He did with sacrifices, or we should have the common sense to know):
He who is without sin cast the first stone. There is only one Human qualified to execute judgment; we don't even understand how to apply mercy before we execute justice, and we are terribly carnal (even if we had wisdom vis a vis David, Solomon, Moses, etc.)
The Law is still in effect, but you, me and the rest of humanity save One is unqualified to execute the penalties of breaking that law - especially since we [have] sin[ned]. But, make no mistake we will all be judged according to the Law of the Most High God.
That is why it is so dangerous to think 1) it passed away, and/or 2) it is void and/or no longer operable for [certain] people. We are all going to be judged by that Law; it would be the definition of ignorance to toss it aside, or consider it voided.
So if it didn’t pass away, then nothing is overridden. What you quoted wasn’t a law. Sabbath was law, to stone for that was law. The OT law also mandated people to follow through on the punishments.
If you’re defending to keep the OT law of Sabbath, don’t cut and paste. You know that Sabbath had a punishment attached to it to those who didn’t abide. Lol don’t disneyfy the Most High God.
“But showing its fault, God says to them, “Look, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will complete a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.” (Hebrews 8:8)You have proved you know neither...
He has spoken to every believer in thier heart. Since the beginningIn all history since Creation, how many people did Yahweh speak with personally ? (that we know for sure from Scripture)
Do you believe Yeshua? He said that both Shabbat and marriage was given to Adam.
It says that Shabbat was given to Adam. Do you not believe Yeshua?
It is unimaginable that Yahweh would not have spoken with Adam and Chavah - mainly since it is written in Scripture
that Yahweh spoke with Adam and Chavah (Eve) !
Again, where does it say Adam remembered the sabbath by keeping it holy? You still have not provided scripture for this.
