The Church is not one among hundreds or thousands of Protestant denominations. Let's keep terms where they belong denominations are a protestant thing.Jesus is to be Lord in our hearts, not any denomination.

That's fine with me. ;-)Sorry, I don't consider your denomination anymore than just that.
Covenant = Agreement, when was that Agreement? With Abraham, if the covenant was n9t by the PROMISE then how did Abraham, Daniel, and all the faithful Jews get into heaven? IIt was accounted as Rightepusness unto Abraham because HE BELEIVED, its just that simple, he knew God would was his sins away by FAITH ALONE, in the Promised Seed. The New Covenant is the fulfillment of God’s promises, established through the work of Jesus Christ.
There were many covenants in the old testament, the O.P. is about the old and new covenant, not the covenant with Abraham.Covenant = Agreement, when was that Agreement? True, not many will make it to heaven, Christ was clear about it.Remember few make heaven, MANY are not going to make it to heaven, thus the blood of the Redeemer has n power to renew those who refuse to BELIEVE God. We overcomplicate this, yes Jesus' blood redeems us but ONLY VIA FAITH.
THATS MY POINT........it seems to not be registering with you in full brother. There were many covenants in the old testament, the O.P. is about the old and new covenant, not the covenant with Abraham.
Sorry but I disagree with your conclusion for GAL3. They are two separate covenants an both are still in application.THATS MY POINT........it seems to not be registering with you in full brother.
There was never a NEW COVENANT, only the Promise.
Why was it called the New Covenant to people in Israel? Because via serving the law, they had clearly forgot all about the promise, all they new was the law of Moses, so unto them it was a New Covenant, but the promise was the original covenant, of a Redeemer coming to take the place of our sins. Paul tells us this in Gal. 3 but people refuse to accept it in some instances? Because it makes the whole law thesis null & void. It is what it is, God bless, happy Easter.
So, you want to go back to "earning your way to heaven" via the law? Makes no sense at all.Sorry but I disagree with your conclusion for GAL3. They are two separate covenants an both are still in application.
Jesus said, if you love Me, keep My commandments. It makes no sense if we love Him, why we wouldn't obey him.So, you want to go back to "earning your way to heaven" via the law? Makes no sense at all.
never what I said, I am sorry you think this. So, you want to go back to "earning your way to heaven" via the law? Makes no sense at all.

The law was given not only because of sin, but for God to show mankind nothing we can do is worthy of redemption, we are all as filthy rags, thus no law can be kept, thus we are under grace, and we are born again of the spirit. Anyone still trying to keep the law is trying to earn hos way to heaven, we are supposed to hear the holy spirit and take his guidance. Its that simple, people make it complex. How much application do you think the Old Covenant has nowadays?
Personally, scripture does say it is near extinction, but also I don't think GOD is looking back, especially not after what His Son accomplished on the cross.
We Keep the LAW because we Love God and nothing else. The law was given not only because of sin, but for God to show mankind nothing we can do is worthy of redemption, we are all as filthy rags, thus no law can be kept, thus we are under grace, and we are born again of the spirit. If you ever see a Christian who wants to keep the Sabbath as Saturday, and doesn't understand EVERY DAY we are at rest in Christ, and thus with the holy spirt living in us every day has to be separated unto the Lord, not just one day.
So, how many stonings have you helped with lately? Or do you walk in violation, ignorance, or defiance of much of the LAW?We Keep the LAW because we Love God and nothing else.
We Keep the LAW because we Love God and nothing else.
We keep the commandments that was prophesied that would be written on our hearts. Jesus fulfilling the Law means its use was over with, he FULFILLED al the Sacrificial Laws that pointed unto the Messiah to come, he fulfilled all the laws pointing unto Sabbath keeping because now God the Holy Spirit lives in our hearts 24/7/365, and thus OUR REST is permanently in God through Jesus the Redeemer. We keep the law of Christ, we obey His commandments. Anything of the old was fulfilled by Jesus and done with. It is finished.
