No not at all, as I've seen other videos which also claim this, I will try & look them up.

But we are just talking about the flights in this video. I've shown you the great circle routes followed by those flights on the globe which are nothing like what the guy in the video presented, and the emergency landing locations make perfect sense on the globe. Do you deny this?

It is also highly likely that the passengers are changing planes at that point because they have flights to and from their home base in the Northern Hemisphere to various cities in the Southern Hemisphere, using different aircraft depending on the distance and how popular the destination is.
For example, Air France flies to both Santiago and to Johannesburg, but they do it out of Paris. They don't fly directly between those two cities because they are based in France.

No not at all, as I've seen other videos which also claim this, I will try & look them up.

Stop wasting your time looking at videos by people who do not understand what they a waffling on about.

This video can be summarised as: A few example flights that had to make emergency landings. Where the flights landed (or diverted to) would not make sense if the earth was a globe.

But the video is wrong. All all the cases, the flights diverted to an airport on or near the most most direct route. The proposed alternatives were further away.

In the video, the lines drawn on the globe are not the most direct route. This might not be very clear from the deceptive video, but is very clear if you check on a globe.

An aside: you don't have to accept that the earth is a globe to be able to see this. Neither does this prove that the earth is a globe.

While Gleason used the map to support his flat Earth claims, his own patent application for the map describes it as a projection from a globe. The application states that the map was created by "straightening out of the meridian lines" from a spherical model.

So it was Gleason himself in his application for a patent, who said it came from a globe map: "his own patent application for the map describes it as a projection from a globe."
