I read the first sentence, then when I saw "let's further the analogy" in the second sentence --- that was it.

I didn't even grade it.
Yeah, can't have an analogy that actually is analogous to the situation. That would be so silly.

Better to have your botched analogies that have nothing to do with the real-world equivalent situation.

AV,

So far your analogy has insuffecient information. Perhaps you could answer my question and we could proceed from there.

If you dropped your ex nihilo created apple into a barrel of naturally grown apples how could you or I figure out which one was created ex nihilo? Would it have a stem? Would it have the remains of a flower on the bottom? Both a stem and the remains of a flower would be equivalent to Adam having a bellybutton.

Added by edit: I forgot to ask another important question. What radioactive nuclides does the apple contain? Does it have any Cesium 135?

I create an apple ex nihilo into the palm of your hand.

What evidence would you use to convince your friend I did this?
I don't know how I'd convince somebody of that. They probably wouldn't believe me if I showed them your ex nihilo apple. I probably wouldn't even believe that you truly did it ex nihilo, like others have said I'd want to know how you did it.

I couldn't expect my friend to believe it if I have no proof that you created it ex nihilo, especially if it looks just like other apples, and especially if I don't know how you did it. Actually, if my friend just bought it without asking for proof I'd think they were a bit too gullible for my tastes.

Hey Loudmouth, since you used an oversized and only vaguely relevant picture, by the laws of Dadism, chapter 2, paragraph 6, you win the argument!

As one of the few surviving apostles testifying to Dad's physical presence among us, long ago, I, Thaumaturgy, formerly Saul of Escondido, can vouch for Fishface's decree.

So Let it Be Written. So Let it Be Done.

Loudmouth wins the debate as per that which we have learned from Dad.

Dad's holy memory be praised.

Forget your apple, AV. I want you to prove that you're not talking out of butt.

I would think that if he was, he need not bother with creating apples out of thin air -- a ventriloquism act that good belongs in Vegas!

Dad (dad1) is posting over at physorg.com and setting all kinds of records for negative feedback ratings! Nothing like talking about the split with a bunch of physicists.

I just hopped over there and snuck a peek at one of his threads.

I weep for humanity.

Here is one post replying to DAD ' s post at physorg:

(dad1 @ Jul 16 2007, 12:19 PM) Hell no, mon. He be alive and well and tickin jus fine. He is the man that can bugger your stories up pretty good, to, it seems. What, with de utter lack of a case you be havin, and all.

In your absence you have been getting a fair bit of competition from terry giblin and Imagination for your post of resident physorg forum idiot. They may be stupid, but no one really comes close to you dud1 for total mindless ignorance.

Good answer, Shmee.

Let me ask you this:

Would your friend believe you if I wrote him/her a note saying I did it, and gave the note to you to give to him/her?

Of course not. What kind of credulous oaf would believe such a note?
