Except, in order to do it properly, you need to realize that it must be a person(s) specifically chosen of God to translate the Scriptures.

Heck, I wouldn't even mind seeing an accurate Hebrew translation from an atheist as they would surely be unbiased. [unlike Scofield, which someone in another thread mentione as being the "Man of God" I think.] Will have to hunt that up.

I have a feeling you wouldn't recognize an accurate translation if you held It in your hand, Lamb. This is why I asked if any translation that refuses to use YAHWEH is substandard to you - (and don't think I didn't notice that you didn't answer it).

My Bicycle Challenge

You buy a deck of cards, open them, and place them on the table; then you go away for an hour. Upon returning, you notice there's a note underneath the deck that reads as follows:
I had to shuffle these.
Looking at the order of the cards, you see that they are in the same order as when you left them an hour ago and no fingerprints anywhere.

Question: Is it possible to conclude that the note is correct?

Well, MPOK, I look at it this way. I see someone demanding evidence of the Creation over and over, and then I issue my Apple Challenge and watch them sweat for a change.

I could sit here until the Rapture and say over and over and over, "There's no evidence for the Creation," but to put the ball in their court helps them to remember it better.

What's that old saying?

So, you are honestly telling me that theres not point to the apple challenge?

Ok; if theres an apple in my hand; and my friends know its there by some faculty of perception other than 'just a feeling'; then, I don't have to convince anyone of anything before I realize I'm going to get hungry eventually, and either have to put the apple down and find something to eat, or eat the apple.

Just bc one doesnt believe in literal creationism doesn't mean one will go to hell.

Now, convince me that I am going to hell bc I see creationism as a metaphor, with cohesive arguments without scripture related logic.
