Thanks for the reply. I like to keep things simple. I believe in simplicity over tradition. That is the biggest issue in today's walk in God, separating biblical fact from the traditions of men. Sadly, those who do attend church services barely read their Bible. I've met too many acclaimed believers who do not quote scripture, they quote their pastor's opinion believing it is scriptural. And when you have a congregation made up of members following their pastor's interpretation 100%, you have major issues bringing forth the truth in wrongful situations. This is why Yeshua only had basically few converts as He did while upon earth, because the traditions of men became a barrier and still is a barrier.
It would be a basic stones throw into any congregation to whom could/would be able to recognize solid biblical fact. I believe it could be a sad day on the day of judgement for many who believe they are saved. When God tells them your salvation is based upon the traditions of men and not My WORD, it will be a very sad moment of realization before the floor drops
But members of typical congregations become bull headed. And once you have reached that point of not being able to see fact from fiction, you become a serious liability unto your own path in God.
But I am a firm believer that as we enter into Tribulation, those with the absolute TRUTH will be able to knock doors down and help some who are not too far gone!!
Is that your final answer?Scripture is my doctrinal book.
Can you name three doctrines?Yes.
Sure. Jesus is the Son of God and was crucified for our sin and He rose again 3 days later and now sits at Gods right hand in heaven. Thats one. Love others as yourself. Love God with heart mind and soul. This is the fulfillment of the law. Thats three. Can you name three doctrines?
Name them in a list.Sure. Jesus is the Son of God and was crucified for our sin and He rose again 3 days later and now sits at Gods right hand in heaven. Thats one. Love others as yourself. Love God with heart mind and soul. This is the fulfillment of the law. Thats three.
Why should i need to do that? Those are just arbitrary names, it really means nothing. Im sure different churches use different titles for these doctrines.Name them in a list.
1) The doctrine of (name it)
2) The doctrine of (name it)
3) The doctrine of (name it)
You can't do it because the Bible isn't a book of doctrines. Why should i need to do that? Those are just arbitrary names, it really means nothing. Im sure different churches use different titles for these doctrines.
There we go.Justification, salvation, second coming...
Doctrine is any belief that one holds. I believe in the bible. You can't do it because the Bible isn't a book of doctrines.
What is the single reference in the Bible for these doctrines with a complete explanation?
1) The doctrine of the Trinity
2) The doctrine of vicarious atonement
3) The doctrine of sanctification
Amen brother. The Bible is the ONLY inspired revelation of God to show us what proper theology/doctrines are!
You have failed to prove that the Bible is a book of doctrine.Doctrine is any belief that one holds. I believe in the bible.
Ok, thank you. Do the apostles teach doctrine in their writings i.e. the scriptures? You have failed to prove that the Bible is a book of doctrine.
I think part of the problem is that you don't know what doctrine is, or where it came from. That would be the obvious place for you to start.
In a word, no.Ok, thank you. Do the apostles teach doctrine in their writings i.e. the scriptures?
