Actually, the first person on that video isn't a Christian at all, he's a Muslim. That says a lot about the credibility of the video. Perhaps you want to be more careful when addressing Christians. Please don't confuse Christians with Muslims. Islam and Christianity are not the same thing.
As for the others, like I said, a Christian must also live in obedience to Christ.
I and others have addressed your points multiple times, here and on other threads. It always comes down to the same argument with you and you never like our answers.
At some point we all realize it's pointless to continue debating such things.
Such as?
What god do you think he was referring to, if not the Christian god?
Some Christians have invoked the Bible to justify hate. Deal with it.
So you're just going to ignore the Euthyphro dilemma?
Much like Yahweh in the Bible.Whatever God he was referring to, it was a God who called for the mass slaughter of millions of people,
It doesn't matter whether you think he was acting in obedience to God. The point is that he thought so. He invoked religion as part of the justification for his actions.including His own chosen people, the Jews. Jesus Himself was a Jew. Do you really think He called for the mass murder of other Jews? Do you think He also called for the mass murder of Christians? Where in His teachings and commands does He say such a thing. If you think that Hitler was acting in obedience to Jesus, I challenge you to find even ONE teaching of Jesus that validates what Hitler did.
Another strawman! Can you please point to the post where I stated that Christians shouldn't speak up against such things?"Deal with it"? What in the world do you mean? Do you honestly think that Christians shouldn't speak up against such things? If you do, that is beyond ridiculous.
That's "wilful disobedience" according to your theology, which isn't universal even among Christians, as I already demonstrated by linking to that video earlier.I'm "ignoring" nothing.
What I am rejecting is the idea that someone can be a true Christian and repeatedly choose to hate others and live in blatant and continuos, willful disobedience to Jesus.
If you refuse to support your claims, it is pointless and also quite telling.
I don't see where you have supported your claims. Give us post numbers.
I'm still waiting for you to address the comments on page 78.I have supported them. However, if you choose to ignore and dismiss what I've said and instead repeatedly ask the same questions over and over, THAT is telling.
Are you able to judge who is Christian and who isn't?
I have stated that evidence shows that science is reliable. Whether science has answers to life's most important questions would depend what those questions are.
Science does not pretend to have answers to what there is no evidence for. In time, science may or may not. Going by it's track record, new well evidenced discoveries are likely.
I'm still waiting for you to address the comments on page 78.
I am not talking about its root meaning, I am talking about the field of study and what science actually IS and what it DOES.
No, we don't know how life came to be. That's why we're inquiring into the matter. We do know how life diversified once it arose though. What about the origins of life? Does science claim to have answers about that?
I guess we are all psychopaths then. That definition includes every single person who has ever lived at one point or another.
Resorting to insults and derogatory labeling again. Classy.
Wow, what an absurd hypothetical situation. Don't worry, it will never happen. I don't know what God you're talking about, but it's not "my God."
On the other hand, people choose to rape other people all the time. But, once again, if morality is entirely subjective, then all they need to say is that it felt right to them, and if it did, they did nothing wrong.
Then you are referring specifically to scientific RESEARCH, or the scientific METHOD.
You should try to be clearer.
But, sloppy terminology isn't your only problem. You have this strange idea that scientists claim to 'have all the answers' to questions and problems before us. Nothing could be further from the truth. I like the way that British physicist Brian Cox puts it......he says that he welcomes the reality that we don't have all the answers - he wants there to be unanswered questions, because these provide the motivation for scientists to do the work they do.
"But of the women who have never known a man, these you may take for yourselves....."
