Based on over seven and a half years here, I'm now condensing my apologetics down into two simple rules of thumb:

Rule One: Under no circumstances whatsoever is the literal translation of the King James Bible to be contradicted.

If necessary, use even the punctuation therein to defend your point; but never let a point contradict the Bible -- ever.

Rule Two: Seek a logical explanation first; and if that doesn't work, then go with a theological explanation.

Scripture first, followed by basic doctrine, followed by suppositions; but don't let the logical trump the theological.

You do realize that presupposing answers without evidence isn't an algorithm. At least, not one which works to your advantage.
I didn't post it to discuss it.

Well, I guess if you don't mind holding to an unscriptural understanding of the Bible, then I guess not. Of course, if you're going to disregard what the Bible actually says, why hold to something so completely ridiculous as the GAP theory? Why not simply accept that the Flood was not worldwide and the language that describes it as such is simply poetic language?

The earth is clearly older than 6000-10,000 years. The earth clearly shows evidence of past global upheaval that predates the modern era by long time spans. The fossil record reveals ancient creatures never seen by modern man. Why would God create a first-time earth with plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, violent weather, droughts and floods.

The bible indicates strongly that the ancient earth was created for the angels, not for man. They shouted and sang for joy when the foundations of earth were laid. This was their 'habitation' and their 'estate'. They weren't happy with this and left, seeking equality with God in his spiritual realm, who had provided this paradise for them. God, in his righteous anger, destroyed the earth he had made for them, turning it into a wasteland. He changed their once beautiful physical appearance into the monsters we find in the fossil record. They roamed a tormented earth for perhaps millions of years before God put an end to these horrible bodies in yet another cataclysm. This is what happened between verse 1 and verse 2. GAP theory stands.

Science says that life is natural, no need for God.

Science is very smart.

Therefore science should be able to create life.

I guess you have never been given the talk about the birds and the bees?

God doesn't make mistakes, he reacts to mistakes.

All things exist according to you thanks to god. That these things aren't all perfect in every way must either be intentional or a mistake made by god. So which is it, is evil intentional or a mistake?

Intentional, but not evil.

The stork brings them, and drops them down the chimney. ^_^

Then what created evil then?

"It's not Hanes 'til I say it's Hanes", (Hanes being a metaphor for sin, I being God). This is how God 'creates' sin/evil.

So basically god just gives itself a free pass to be evil by claiming that so long as it is the one doing it that it is not evil  those are the actions of a tyrant.

No justification whatsoever for this rule so fail.

You violate this rule constantly. Even your description of the rule is at odds with the rule itself.

I also believe God (heck, the demons believe in God). :D
I ALSO believe God. God left His direct fingerprints in the world around us. Men wrote, and translated and re-translated, and picked and chose which books are in the Bible. Inspired men, but fallible men just the same shown by the fact that there are so many different versions and translations of the Bible.
