The New Job Search Prayer Thread

It is not easy, is it. I....my situation is so complicated I can barely put it into sentences. I sort of have a job, but it's a very uncertain position, and I need a visa, and it may not qualify for it, and other factors...still praying for an answer at least, or a way out of this mess.

I am in need of a job; Nov 9th will be one year ago that I left my last full time one. It was leave on my own accord, or be let go by an inept boss who was threatened by my knowledge and education. In leaving on my own, I got a reference from the state director of my agency. I won. Now I just need to find another job. My profession is a bit of a good old boys network in many cases. I just need the break to get in once again. I've got countless applications out.

I just received a rejection email for that position I had interviewed for. I looked good and I think I answered the questions well, but it didn't matter. I'd feel defeated, but after all of the rejection I've dealt with in this job search, it's nothing new, sadly. I already felt like a failure at life. I know this economy is horrible and that I'm not the only one going through this, but still.

Thank you, Crystal. It was a nice video and I appreciate you posting it here. It's hard to tell people that I'm still struggling with finding a job, especially when some people act like there are plenty of jobs out there and the problem is with the job seekers. (How those people can be so ignorant is beyond me, but that's a rant for another thread.) So, this thread, and that video, are the support I need and I'm sure others need, too.
