I'm so hopeful...I had a really great interview with a phone company...I have lots of good experience...and I have a friend there who really thinks the company treats their employees wonderfully. Starting wage more than I'm making now!!

I applied for a job last week at our local Library. Felt wonderful about it. Even know someone that works there and put them down as a reference.
Well, I checked on it yesterday and it's pretty much a no go. Please continue to pray.
Pray especially hard for my mom. She can't take much more of this. God needs to intervene and now.
I'm trying to trust Him but it's hard when you're not seeing anything happening that remotely brings hope.

I'm applying to a job tomorrow at a Arby's (eating place). My mom's friend said they were looking for people around my age to hire because their younger employees aren't very reliable. Pray God's will be done.
I don't feel great about this but it's money I guess. And having a job helps you find other jobs. (So I've heard). I'm beginning to not believe that honestly but it couldn't hurt.

You don't eat a peacock until it's cooked.
This is actually true. Having any job makes it easier to get hired for another because it shows you're willing to work and that you've been productive. It sounds silly but employers like to see someone who's working, even if it's not a desirable job.

Thunder Peel is correct. I work as the Director of Education for a web hosting company and do the interviews with prospective new hires, and we are definitely swayed by a person already working and looking to better themselves. Although it seems counter-intuitive at first, most employers give a plus to those that are already employed.
Also, I get at least a job offer a month off of LinkedIn, and a few here and there off Monster.com
