The beasts to which Adam gave names are not biological organisms, but certain qualities of the soul, capable of controlling the actions of both the individual and the movements of the human masses.
For example, a hare = cowardice, a lion = courage, a bull = diligence, a donkey = stubbornness, a horse = strength, etc. This is what God created at the initial stage of the transition from the savage to the civilized man: in human speech, expressions for similar qualities of the soul appeared.
Proceeding from this, we should look for the numerical value of the name of the beast-666 not among the names of specific individuals, but among concepts capable of capturing people.
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six. (Revelation 13:18)
In the light of the foregoing, I read not as "the name of man", but as "the name of human."
In the Bible itself there is one word, for which the sum of the numerical values of the constituent letters is 666. (In ancient languages, the modern symbols for the digit were not used, the numbers were written in letters, for example, "alpha" = 1, "beta" = 2, see Isopsephy).
ευπορια = 666
ε — 5
υ — 400
π — 80
ο — 70
ρ — 100
ι — 10
α — 1
____
Total 666
ευπορια
5 + 400 + 80 + 70 + 100 +10 + 1 = 666
...these he gathered together with the workmen of similar trades, and said, "Men, you know that our prosperity depends upon this business. (Acts 19:25)
Prosperity = 666 (in the original in Greek)
An additional pointer indicating precisely this word as the name of an apocalyptic beast is found in 1 Corinthians:
If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus <...> (1 Corinthians 15:32)
You are well aware that the Apostle Paul here is not writing about wild animals, but about people, sending us to the same episode described in the 19th chapter of the Acts of the Apostles. According to the context of the incident in Ephesus, it is clear to us that it was the word "Prosperity" that expressed the essence of the aspirations of the crowd of artisans engaged in the manufacture of idols.
"Prosperity" is the name of the Beast, whose number is 666.
Actually, this was expected: the "beast" who rebels against God at the end of time is the entire human civilization based on Adam's sin: on uncontrolled and unrestrained use of stolen fruits of the tree of Knowledge for selfish ends.
On the 13th chapter of the Revelation, everything became clear. The seven heads of the beast are seven empires, six of them are mentioned in the Bible: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Mido-Persia, Greece, Rome.
and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while (Revelation17:10)
"One is" means that at the time of the writing of the Revelation, it was Rome that was the world empire. Obviously, the seventh head of this "beast" is the United States. Especially because of the word "prosperity".
The other characters of the 13th chapter of Revelation: the second beast is the spirit of pseudo-Christianity, that is, what is usually called the Christian religion. This religion serves the first beast. A antichrist, this is not a seven-headed beast, but an "image of the beast." Any president of the United States can bid for the post of anti-christ, for it is his duty: to serve prosperity.
The subject is extensive, so I will only point out the parallel of the individual features of the seven-headed beast with the features of the four beasts from the 7th chapter of the book of the prophet Daniel. In Daniel 1, the beast is Judaism, the 2nd beast is Islam, the 3rd beast is Oriental religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Shintoism), the 4th beast is a Christian religion, the first three commandments of which we see in the mouth of the 2nd beast, that is, Islam.
As you can see, everything is simple here.
In this way:
Name of the beast: prosperity
The heads of the beast: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Mido-Persia, Greece, Rome, US
The beast coming up out of the earth, the false prophet: the spirit of pseudo-Christianity
The mark of the beast: the habit of stealing (mark on the hand), the habit of lying (mark on the forehead)
Number of the name of the beast: passport, tax number, any registration of a person, community or property in the state
The image of the beast: a specific antichrist (president, king, pope)
All these images are opposites of God:
Name of the beast (prosperity) <> Name of God
666 (global civilization) <> 144,000 redeemed communities (specific churches)
the mark of the beast <> the seal of the Holy Spirit on the heads of 144,000
Number of the name of the beast (registration in the state) <> the person's belonging to one of the 144,000 communities of the whole period of the Church
False Prophet <> The Holy Spirit
Antichrist, the image of the beast <> Jesus Christ (the image of God)
