Yes, the "response" is obedience to the command, "repent", by grace through faith. It is the response of being "saved", from (Matthew 1:21) "sin" (1 John 3:4), not in sin (and transgression of the 4th commandment, like any other commandment, is sin, still sin, always will be sin; Romans 7:7). Keeping the fourth commandment is the same as keeping any other commandment in salvation (not "for" salvation). To reject to keep the sabbath, means is rejecting 'salvation' "from" sin (1 John 3:4).

Salvation is being brought out from under condemnation into obedience to the will of God (Psalms 40:8).

It says, as the King James:

Colossians 2; Ephesians 2 and Hebrews 9-10 are all speaking of "carnal ordinances", not God's spiritual Law of Ten Commandments:

Sabbath is not "saturday" in technicality. The sabbath is God's Holy and blessed time (evening to evening) in which He rested, while "saturday" is pagan and on differing time (midnight to midnight).

The sabbath is always the 7th day from Genesis 2:1-3 (Exodus 20:8-11) to the end, even into the New Heavens and New Earth:

Christians, as the Jews, Hebrews, etc, did before, can gather on any day of the week, but not any day of the week is the Sabbath, that is only the 7th day and no other. Second day of the week (evening):

Jesus was with the disciples for 40 days after (not a first day of the week in His ascension from Mt Olivet) His resurrection (first day of the week).

Jesus was in full compliance with the statments in the OT, while the pharisees, scribes and people such as yourself have all kinds of religious traditions and eisigesis which make of none effect the commands of God.

It is the same thing. For those who do not keep the sabbath of the Lord, "covet" the time God sanctified (set aside for a holy purpose) for their own use and pleasure.

Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

Therefore, to transgress the 4th commandment is to "covet" the time, and misapropriate it to selfish purposes.

James is correct:

Notice:

Do you realize that anyone in breaking God's Sabbath and disregarding His explicit command, they have broken all the commandments?

1. Placing another as 'god" before God, for they acknowledge another and obey them
2. They have an idol, either of self, or another, they serve another, rather than the Creator [the LORD of the 7th Day]
3. They have taken God's name in vain, for they do not have His character [which the Law is a transcript of]
4. They have not rested, but worked, not believed but doubted
5. They dishonoured their Father in Heaven [Isaiah 58:13], and their Mother [Galatians 4:26]
6. They have murdered themselves, not resting, but continuing to work
7. They have commited adultery having left subjection to God, for another's will
8. They have stolen themselves from God, and thieved the time that belonged to Him, living as they pleased
9. They have born false witness in the world as to who God is, what His character is like
10. They have coveted their own ideas, plans and time rather than God's will.

The Sabbath commandment, a promise as are all the others, describes the moral aspect of God's character:

1. God is relational, God to man, and man to man, an at-one-ing God.
2. God is purposeful, God gives purpose, of work and rest.
3. God is Creator and Redeemer, and concerns Himself in love to that which is created, thus He is Life
4. God is an Author and Finisher, Alpha and Omega, Beginning and the ending, First and the last
5. God is Holy, and the Sanctifier and the one who Blesses
6. God is above nature, greater than creation
7. God is the example for all creation, in that He worked and in that He rested
8. God is selfless, being the giver, for it was given as a gift
9. God is logical, mathematical, orderly, consistent, star systems, planets, orbits, days, years, cycles, etc
10. God is no respecter of persons
11. God is worthy to be worshipped, loved, etc
12. God is the owner and sustainer
13. God is all about family, cohesive love
14. God is intelligent and wise, thus "remember" [a word, re-member, to bring back together as one]
15. God is fore-thinking

The trouble is, all along the claim in this thread has been that God's commands regarding Sabbath are forever. And now, you tell me that what God originally said about the Sabbath is not valid because Jesus demonstrated something different. I agree, he did. But, the fact is, you are not keeping the supposedly permanent laws regarding Sabbath. I really think you are trying to have it both ways.
You can't blame this one on the pharisee's adding it, when it is written in the scripture. Jeremiah 17:21

God hates sin, as these passages show. And David may have hated his enemies, but David was not under the new covenant, and did not have Jesus' command to love his enemies. They certainly don't tell us we have a right or reason to hate anyone. We can hate their deeds, but not the person. That God or man can hate someone's sin perfectly was not the issue. It was whether we can hate anyone. This is a much bigger issue than whether we keep certain days separate.

If Yahweh in His Perfect Justice, Mercy and Righteousness hates someone (as found in Scripture),
then whoever is one with Yahweh, when they know Yahweh's Judgment, also hates them not of themselves, but it is Yahweh's Judgment, as it always must be.

The GREEK WORD for ORDINANCE is the same work used in Colossians 2:14 for ORDINANCE or DECREE. GREEK meaing is G1378. δόγμα dŏgma, dog´-mah; from the base of 1380; a law that is CIVIL, CEREMONIAL or ECCLESIASTICAL:—decree, ordinance.

Yep no more animal sacrifices for sin. So it is the COMMANDMENTS CONTAINED IN ORDINACES that is being talked about here not the 10 Commandments written on stone.

Looking at the GREEK and the multiple translations you may need to consider another bible Eloy. Looks like God's WORD disagrees with you here.

The scriptures in Ephesians 2:14-15 is not saying the 10 commandments have been abolished otherwise that would CONTRADICT the rest of the NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURE LINKED CLICK ME.

Hello Eloy,

There is no daily nomanculture for the pagan terms for the days of the week in God's WORD including Sunday or the day of the Sun. These are pagan terms. The naming of the days of the week in God's WORD was always based on the scriptures and were named around the SABBATH like they were in GENESIS. Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Preparation Day and SABBATH day.

The Jews keepers of God's LAW for thousands of years already still keep the SABBATH day today. It is the same day that most people call Saturday.

This is some convoluted reasoning to get around God's Sabbath command. Getting all allegorical does not help your cause when you are so literal on the Sabbath rules that you do claim to follow. Either keep it all or do not disparage others for not keeping it.

How is that making things up? The only condition to Jesus' free gift of grace is that we are willing to accept it. We say, "Yes, thank you, Jesus. You're awesome!"

By making observing the seventh day sabbath a condition of Jesus' gift of salvation, you are not allowing him to *give* you the gift. It's like if someone gives you a gift because they love you and want to do something nice for you, but when they hand it over to you, you pull out your wallet and give them money for it in return, and then you've just ruined the whole purpose of the gift, and probably hurt them in the process.
