It has everything to do with the situation.
People here cannot read people's minds like Jesus.
People here cannot know every intimate detail of a person's life like Jesus can.
So their judging in the same way the Pharisees are judging Jesus (Based on man's limited knowledge of what they think is right)..

We don't need to read your mind, we can read the words you write that express what is in your mind.

We are commanded to be perfect by the Lord. Jesus also told two people to stop sinning. But walking as He walked does not mean we have to do every single exact thing He did. Jesus and His followers let us know which Commands are an essential part of every true believer's life. Yes, if we do honestly fail at some point, we do have God's grace. But God's grace is not a license for us to sin but it is to help us to overcome our sin and to walk in holiness and righteousness. You can't sin and also be holy. You can't be on and off and on and off all the time your whole life and also be holy. We are told to choose this day in whom we will serve. Sin is of the devil's kingdom. Righteousness is of God's Kingdom. Jesus said you cannot serve two masters.

We are commanded to be perfect by the Lord.
And yet we cannot be perfect in this life. Therefore, we know that you are misunderstanding the meaning there.

Jesus also told two people to stop sinning.
Of course. But you can't distinguish between a command to stop intentionally or carelessly sinning and sinning itself. You put all sin into the same category as flagrant and deliberate sinning.

Yes, if we do honestly fail at some point, we do have God's grace. But God's grace is not a license for us to sin
Well, we all agree to that an have done so from the start!

Sorry, Jesus did not say shoot for perfection and if you miss the mark, don't worry about. He said be ye perfect; And it means exactly that. For with God, nothing is impossible.

Of course. But you can't distinguish between a command to stop intentionally or carelessly sinning and sinning itself. You put all sin into the same category as flagrant and deliberate sinning.

It is written...

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” (‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:13‬)

Well, we all agree to that an have done so from the start!

I am glad you agree. Now, explain to me how saying you will always sin is not the same as turning God's grace into a license to sin?

No, Jesus wasn't lying.....He was burying us. And pointing us to Himself, the Perfect One, as our only hope.
Actually, He said be ye perfect as the Heavenly Father is perfect.

We do our best and God makes up for the occasional faux pas, is that the way you see it?
Let me give you an analogy.

The true believer can be compared to like an alcoholic who stumbles on occasion on his road to recovery in him being sober.

But the Eternal Security Proponent is like an alcoholic who checks himself into a program to be sober but he never really has any intention of giving up his drink.

In other words, it's a be sober and still drink program.

That is why in the OSAS proponent's case, it is a sin and still be saved program.

IOW, your opinion of those of us whose salvation is assured and eternally secure in Christ, is that we just use that as an excuse to sin, because after all, we never really had any intention of giving up sin. Is that about it?

For the record, these forus are open to anyone to respond to. And anyone is free to read or ignore them.

But, I'm really not surprised that you've ignored my latest question and would rather dodge it than face it.

But, for the record, here it is again:

"But, I have a question for you. How do you explain these verses?

Rom 4:6-8
6 just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, And whose sins have been covered.
8 “Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account.”

Specifically, v.6 tells us plainly that God credits righteousness apart from works. The rest of ch 4 teaches that righteousness is by faith.

v.7 speaks of sins being covered. They seem not to be in your own eyes.

And v.8 really refutes your notions of sin."

Give me the names of several people in history, other than Jesus himself, who were perfect then. That should settle it.

I will give you one last chance. Please stick to Scripture instead of being insulting or this conversation is over, my friend.

Only God knows who has reached a point where they have walked perfectly. This would obviously not include them being a sinner as an unbeliever and in stumbling on occasion thru the Sanctification process (When they became a believer). Also, only Noah and his family were found righteous and the rest of the world was wicked. If you were in Noah's shoes, could you say that you could look at the world around you and say that it was impossible to live like Noah did (Just because everyone else was evil)? In other words, Noah walked by faith and not by sight. He did not need to look at the world to see if it was possible to be righteous.

No longer living as one weighed in the balance, my focus is on Christ, not myself. That is the inescapable problem with your ideas. Sin is self-focus, self-interest, selfishness. Grace is the only way of escaping the prison of self. Your spiritual economy allows for no humility because true humility is best described by C.S. Lewis, “Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.”. Your religion doesn't allow you that, Jason.

You have set yourself up as judge and jury. You have tried, judged and condemned as hopeless, deliberate, sinners all who accept their eternal security in Christ. You're already done, you just don't know it yet.
